Two days ago ,in sync with the openning cermony of the 2006 world cup, the Israeli warships , apache helicopters, and tanks bomded the Palestinian families , who escapes the bleak economic and financial beseige ,on Gaza beaches. Isn't killing the civilians(noncombatant) anywhere in the world an outrageous act of terrorism?
The US state department said that they "understand Israel needs of self defence". Come on folk, terrorism is terrorism regardless of the perpetrator,and it MUST be condenmed.

No, its not. Israel continues to be attacked by the so called Palestinians. I don't know why you would think they are not allowed to respond? If a man punched you in the eye, would you not fight back? It is the same with Israel. A suicide bomber gets on a bus full of men women and children and blows them up, what do you think the appropriate response should be? Cry to the U.N? No, you take swift action. In a war (and thats exactly what it is) like this innocent civilians will always be killed along with the bad guys. And mistakes are made in every war. A mistake, (if its an honest mistake) is not terrorism. Terrorism is when innocents are intentionally targeted, like what the Palestinians are doing. The suicide bombers usually target citizens, not military, that are just trying to live their lives. The non-combatants. Thats the difference. Israeli forces attack the terrorists, who intentionally mix in with civilians and use them as human shields. It is the terrorists that are really causing most of the civilian deaths in Palestine, because of their cowardly actions. Hit and hide, like a thousand cock roaches. Mingle amoungst the people knowing Israel will respond with force. They do this deliberately to make the false claim that Israel is killing innocent Palestinians. I say to that, too bad so sad. Those innocent Palestinians should put a stop to these terrorists that are putting their lifes in danger. Turn on them and drive them into the sea, and then maybe there can be real peace in that region. As long as Hamas, Islamic Jihad, and other such groups continue what they are doing, Israel will continue what it does. People on both sides will die, and there will be no peace.

Tsk, Tsk, Palestinian sympathizes complaining about innocent women and children being killed. Where were you when suicide bombers deliberately killed innocent Israeli children?
In case it slipped your mind, the reason for the shelling was Hamas firing rockets into Israel from that area. Israel has the right to defend itself against rockets.
It is against the Geneva Convention to stage military operations from a civilian area. Hamas stages its operations from civilian areas. Although the Israelis try to avoid civilians, sometimes Hamas's operations are so close that accidents happen.
In this case, as you note, there was a lot of ordinance being used, and apparently one shell went off in a direction it was not supposed to go. Please note, Israel has apologized and appears ready to provide monetary compensation.
The difference, of course, is that when a Hamas suicide bomber blows himself up, he has deliberately targeted civilians. That's terrorism. As far as I know, Hamas has never apologized for any suicide bombing.
If Hamas really wants to protect its people, and not just create more martyrs, it has a window of opportunity to renounce terrorism, accept a two-state solution, and negotiate.

It was most likely a Hamas laid bomb that killed the family on the Gaza beach. They plant booby traps there meant to kill Israeli patrols.
Unlike the Arabs' method of combat, Israel doesn't target non-combatants.
(But don't let these facts get in your way.)

this isn't the first thing they've done. i mean, come on... in the palestine/israel issue, israel is the aggressor, but coz of their extensive public relations campaign in the US everybody thinks its the opposite. they pretty much control all the major news networks.

Of course it's terrorism.Just because they call it "self defense" it doesn't give them the right to kill civilians.It's not the first time it's happening and everyone should condemn this attacks.No matter who is doing them.
