Imagine bombs/car bombs going off U.S streets, mass killings, insurgences, no running water, no electricity just for ONE DAY in the U.S, would this make us realise we should stop "imposing" war on people? 9/11 was like mass grief, a sign that we can't take a bigger consecutive hits.

M Jean, if you really think 9/11 was the equivilent of a day in Iraq, than you will be mistaken. 9/11 was ONE incident that killed many people. In Iraq, it is hundreds of that type of attacks.

Yes, i agree. They did it for greed and oil. Haliburton makes billions a day because we went in. And They are buddied up with the Bush administration. It is sad how much power the big corporations have over our government.

Interesting question. Now assume that the US is run by a dictator that is responsible for mass murder. (And I know some far left wingers, will say we are Bush. Never a clearer example of moral confusion, so I will dismiss that argument) Shouldn't the citizenship of the US appreciate the disposing of that dictator.
You do realize that the terrorists now target Iraqi's primarily. It is an attempt to begin a civil war. Fortunately, with the Sunni's turning over Al-Zarqawi, there is hope that Iraqi people will stop supporting terrorists, by giving them shelter. Sometimes we have to "impose" war for the bigger picture. Germany was a disaster after WWII, was it wrong to invade? In fact, if France and England, the then Soviet Union would have invaded when they had superior power, there would have been far less death. I'm not criticizing them. Hindsight is 20/20.
And comparing the War on Terror, which should be called the war on Islamic Fascist Terrorism, it just doesn't sound as good, with WWII is a good analogy, because we are in a war against the same kind of fascism.
I understand the grief and frustration with the death of innocent Iraqi's, and our soldiers, but the bigger picture is there is no other solution that will liberate Iraq, and we had to take action, to prevent the spread of this brand of fascism.

First off, if America became Iraq for a day, we would no longer call them insurgents or terrorists, we would call them patriots or heroes. It would be those "patriots" that would be standing up against a massive, well equipped foreign army that had launched an unbelievable bombing campaign that killed thousands of our fellow citizens. The invaders would proudly this bombing campaign "Shock and awe". Our patriots would would be the pride of our country because, against overwhelming odds, they would fight on killing the enemy everyday in any way they could. Some of our people would become so fearful of the invaders that they will pretend to be glad they're here. It won't make our people feel good about it, but it might make them feel safe, for awhile anyway. At night we would pray. We will pray that the invaders will leave. We will pray that the war will end. We will pray that we will live one more day, no matter how miserable that day may be. And we'll pray that our children never see another war.

Thank you blackman for this question, because the reality is Americans couldn't survive in a day what the Iraqi's go through every hour. Can you imagine, every morning waking up, thankful? hearing gunshots, bombs, not knowing who was right, who to trust? Not having water, hoping you can get from here to there without being used as a pawn in someones side of the war. You have kids, how do you protect your kids when you can't even move to protect yourself? Thank God for the American troops, but realistically, you don't know them, can you trust them? I know they are the best in te world, the toughest the stongest, but what do you think when they have invaded YOUR country?
