Liberals just piss me off, i have been trying to understand why someone would be Liberal. Can a Liberal explain to me what they stand for and believe in strait up? And why most hate God, and would love to seen the UN rule the world along side the ACLU. Tell me strait why you are liberal, so I can better understand the view.

My 10 year old is intrested in politics, and has asked "What is the difference between a republican, and a democrat?" He is a very independent, and intelligent child. I would like him to form his own opinons. So I would like to provide him with a broader point of view, and allow him to judge for himself. When I was younger, and asked my father this question. He replied " A Republican belives in hard work, a Democrat belives in handouts." He was a Republican, my mother a Democrat. ( I have explained, and defined the technical answers.)

Why don't you guys take a look at this before you conclude with the bird brained conspiracy theorists:

Now, when will you all learn to stop using the deaths of 3,000 men, women, and children..oh yes, there were over 6 children killed on flight 11 and 77 combined..it's not right. Don't believe anything, why cant we trust our government. George Bush may be a little odd. but he would certainly never do such a thing as 9/11/01.. Come on guys :(

Gay people cannot marry, and women cant have the freedom to make their own choices, and we cannot smoke weed in this country. Sounds like we cant have freedoms according to neocons. Other countries dont have the same problems we do because of limiting our freedoms. Why dont other countries have the same problems america does. Neocons hate change, but our world is getting worse by the minute and neocons are unwilling to change.

so what else is new?
CHICAGO (Reuters) -- Kentucky Gov. Ernie Fletcher pleaded not guilty Friday to charges that he was involved in an illegal scheme to hire political allies for merit-based state jobs.

Fletcher, the first Republican to lead Kentucky in more than three decades, entered the pleas through a lawyer in Franklin County District Court in Frankfort, court officials said.

He was indicted last month by a grand jury on three misdemeanor counts -- official misconduct, which carries a possible one-year sentence, and conspiracy and violating a prohibition against political discrimination, which each carry six-month penalties.

While two of the three charges also stipulate removal from state office upon conviction, most legal observers say that would not likely apply to the governor, whose removal is subject to impeachment proceedings spelled out in the state constitution.

Friday's arraignment follows a year of controversy stemming from the allegations that Republicans violated state law by ignoring merit and hiring political supporters for civil service jobs.

At a state party meeting in Louisville last weekend, the physician and former U.S. congressman said he still planned to be a candidate for re-election in 2007.

After more than a dozen indictments of current and former members of his administration, Fletcher announced a blanket pardon last year that ended investigation into the alleged wrongdoing.

In announcing the pardon, which was upheld in a decision by the Kentucky Supreme Court last month, Fletcher specifically exempted himself, thus opening the way for his own indictment.

when a person states that they are 100% American does that mean white? Does it mean the same if African Americans or Latino citizens say it?

What does it mean to be 100% Native American? Does 100% mean that we have no European Ancestors...no sense of Ancestry or family tree?
what do you think?

Some people like Jay Leno (who I condsider a funny person) make fun of democracy because American Idol recieves more votes than any Presidential election.

1st of all, to Yahoo! Answers : When you read this question, please do not remove it because this is important to me.

2nd, I love America and its values, so I will defend it's right as an American to vote.

In American Idol, 5 year-old girls can vote 10 times, felons can also vote, disabled people can vote 40 times , fugitives can vote, people with warrants can vote. My point is that ANYONE can vote in American Idol, all you have to do is pick up a phone in the comfort of your own couch.

In real elections, only people who are
1)18 years old or older
2)Have registered to vote
3)Without any felonies committed
4)Can vote only once

American Idol has had so many votes because anyone can vote, ANYONE. But in real elections, you have to meet many requirments, and then on election day, you have to actually get up and go to your local precinct to vote.

Actual elections don't recieve many votes because too many people think that it's not worth it to vote on their childrens future.

If your are eligible to vote, and didn't vote then please tell me why didn't you vote.

It's a FACT that when military personnel return from putting their lives on the line defending our way of life they are often met at the airport by groups of liberals who want to spit on them and call them "baby killer" and other such things. I'm not asking why you people do this, I'm just trying to understand how the protest gets put together.

Now listen to this:
Immigrants can come over and get any and everything they want, but the people who were actually BORN in America don't get a darn thing. The stupid government just lets the illegal aliens come right over and have whatever they want free. If this is such a free country, why dont AMERICANS get any thing thats free?!

And another thing- why does it seem africans get everything? They get the UNCF but where's the UWCF? huh? Just because they're a different skin colour doesn't mean that they deserve get better/more things than whites. And I am NOT saying whites deserve more than blacks. I am just stating my opinions and beliefs. If you got a problem with it, you can just stuff it! I'm getting tired of getting my head bitten off.
