Gay people cannot marry, and women cant have the freedom to make their own choices, and we cannot smoke weed in this country. Sounds like we cant have freedoms according to neocons. Other countries dont have the same problems we do because of limiting our freedoms. Why dont other countries have the same problems america does. Neocons hate change, but our world is getting worse by the minute and neocons are unwilling to change.

I think you misunderstand WHY republicans take those positions. Democrats tend to support individual rights even when it takes rights away from everyone or hurts society. Republicans support individual rights to the extent they gurantee everyone's freedom equally.

In the case of your examples...
Gay Marriage is a seperation of church & state issue more so than a moral one. Many churchs of all religions teach that homosexuality is a sin & that marriage is a ritual blessing by God of the union between a man & woman. IF govt conducts gay marriages, then it is forcing those churches to accept something against their teachings. You can agree or disagree with that statement, but you can see where they feel govt is interfering in the practice of their religious beliefs & imposing a society on them that is contrary to their moral principles.

Abortion: is in fact legal & conservatives can't do anything about it. Still, their position is that the unborn fetus is a human life with the equal right to life, libery, & the pursuit of happiness as the mother has. As such, they don't believe the mother has the right to kill this life unless maybe under extreme circustances (like threat to her own life or rape/incest). Even at that, most republicans actually believe abortion should ultimately stay legal, but that there are way too many of them & that it should be restricted to all hell in the way that pro-life candidates try to do.

Smokin Weed: That's a little out of line with the other points, but I'll give it a shot. The people that take a hard line on this take the same position on drinking too, so at least they're consistent. I could care less what you do in the provacy of your own home, but I don't want my kids smoking themselves stupid either. So long as the stuff is illegal it comes with criminals & international smuggiling rings that are guilty of far more serious crimes then smoking a bowl. As long as that's true we have to try to eliminate the demand as well as the suppliers.

Women don't have the freedom to make their own choices? What year are you living in?They have the freedom to murder an unborn child and or suck the life out of the father. As far as the gay marriage issue goes, this country could stand to be more open or accepting. Now,the smoking weed thing.I myself don't mind a lil puff, puff now & then but I think you've over done it a bit.LOL

Marriage is not a constitutional right. Women in this country have more choices than women in 80% of the world. You cannot smoke pot because in this country the congress is doing things it has no constitutional authority to do. The federal government should do only those things it has constitutional authority (written in not interpreted) if it did we would all have more freedom.

I'm old school conservative(probably before you were born)so whats with the neo.Marriage was founded in religion which rejects homosexuality. If queers need a legal recourse for their life style let them seek that ,marriage is sacred. And why should a woman have the right to murder a child that she only provided half the genetic material for just because it is in her womb.If a women does not want to have a baby she should not lay down and spread her legs(that WAS her CHOICE)!

That's not entirely true. Conservatives think women and men can have the freedom to make their own choices, but you have to be accountable if you make a bad decision. For example, if a woman chooses to kill her children she should be arrested, just like if a man would be arrested if he killed any children.
