They are planning on taking over Iran? Where do you get your news, because it sounds like you are talking out of your butt.

Certainly it would not be Turkey, since they have a rather secular track record. Also, during WWII the best Allied soldiers were the Turks and the Scottish Black Watch. Americans in the general population may have forgotten that, but I bet the government has not.
I would guess the following countries are on the list: North Korea, Syria and maybe a few countries in Africa.
It's doubtful though that we will even attack Iran - for economic reasons and because most of the rest of the world would be totally fed up with us forever. The war in Iraq is not very popular these days, with more soldiers getting killed and with the lack of National Guards available to perform urgently needed domestic tasks - like help people here who are victims of hurricanes etc. If they activate the draft, it will be decades before the Republicans take control again. Sure a lot of people hate Osama and hated Al Zarqawi, and rightfully so. They were bastards.
I don't think there are so many of us out there who want to totally bankrupt our children's and grand children's future, while devastating the domestic economy of this country.
I spent a few days in Istanbul once with my husband. It's a very romantic place.

I don't think so, because for many years, the United States is a major ally of Turkey and maintains military bases on the Asia Minor region, so I think Turkey is an impossible target.
Maybe the next target is North Korea or Syria if the two nations will not bow to the pressures of the United Nations and the United States.

Snap has been asleep for a while apparently. As soon as the media start villifying Iran, we know an invasion won't be far into the future.
All we can hope for is a change in the government before North Korea is attacked again. If they are attacked I believe a real sh!tfight will follow, including the use of nuclear weapons.
I don't think Turkey will be attacked

What the hell? We're allies with Turkey! They're a NATO member who we're legally bound to protect if they are attacked. We have had military bases there for over 50 years & closely cooperate with their military. They've extensively cooperated in the war on terror, not to mention the cold war before that. What in your mind could the US possibly have against Turkey?
The most important thing to know about Turkey right now is that because we are such good friends we cannot allow Iraq to be divided into seperate Sunni, Shia, & Kurdish states, or to drop into a civil war that would result in such a thing. The Kurdish population stretches from Iraq into Turkey, Iran, Jordan, & Syria. It would like to unite as a country of its own on these traditional lands taken from each of those countries (including away from Turkey), which of course means regional civil war that we cannot allow!

This is the most ridicilous question I've heard. #1: Turkey is an ally of US and part of NATO. 2: it is a democracy. 3: it is a symbol of a Muslim Democratic state in Middle East to be a model to others. 4: Turkey does not have oil and 5:You cant take over Turkey because 65 million people will be the biggest army US would ever face !....If you dont know that, read a little history of Ottoman Empire, you will know what I mean.

As I said in the question about conservatives creating enemies, if the United States' policy for defeating terrorism is invading every country that contains terrorists, we're eventually going to end up invading every middle-eastern country on the map. And, Turkey's in that area, so I guess they're on the list somewhere down the line.

What the hell has Turkey done? They are part of NATO, they have a secular government, they are trying to get into the EU. Are you still mad because they didn't let us invade Iraq from their country?

No and how is the crack your smoking? I hope there is no list of countries the US plans to attack.... I wear the uniform and I bet you don't, so unless you plan to enlist, don't go trying to pick any new fights, we got enough right now. Thank You very much.

I would guess either N Korea or Syria. Probably Syria, because I don't think N Korea has oil.
