I don't know what I was thinking. I' m a permanently disabled senior citizen. New Year's Eve I wanted to look nice, but didn't have any money. I took a total of $11.97 in merchandise. Nail files and two hair pins. First, the guard was a bit on the physical side; I apologized, offered to pay for items and, although it was my first time, she had me fill out paperwork. She neglected to include the fact that I was remorseful and offered to pay for the items.

What can I do about the fact that the paperwork wasn't correctly filled out (she kept telling me what it said and told me to just sign it).

Also, what will happen now? Is it always a fine, in spite of the preceding?

Thanks.

My husband needs to decide soon if he is going to re-enlist or not. He joined when he was 27 and has 3 1/2 years in now. He is on a small ship and everyone keeps telling him that the navy is so much better outside of this duty station. We also had children before he joined and now our oldest is having a extremely hard time. He said that he is always a dad before a Sailor. It's so hard because he loves his family and his job. How do you decide what is right. My opinion is I just want him to be happy, and I support him all the way whatever he decides. We both like the military life, but the cons out way the pro's in both our minds. Can anyone offer some advise? Also, my husband and I "both" make the final call, it's not a one sided descision.

I mean like in World War 2, when Japan and Germany were a threat.
Cause Al Qaida could be hardly called a threat…
Communism wasn’t much of a threat in the cold war.
America is basically untouchable
So once in a while a couple of buildings full. Big deal.
Don’t you think terrorism is over rated?
Do you think that their is a possibility of the USA could be threatened by some body at all?

My 2 questions are;

1. Are you aware of any scientific, national, international, military or police reports of any ancient human discoveries where people (singular or plural ) appear to have been in a collective group and have died as a results of having become entraped within ice including; frozen tundra, pack ices or ice burgergs, rivers, lakes, & streams. Including within & outside or near to the Artic and or Antarctic circles?

2. Also, what methods and equiptment are the best to look for them?

I'm not looking for the next ice man. We all have heard about that one. I'm interested in something else.

Serious answers only.

Thanks,

Ed

You know what I mean. You're driving just fine, and then boom you see a police cars flashing lights. Suddenly you're not looking at the road; you're looking at your speedometer, then you glance back up to see that you're veering off, and you almost crash. The police car zooms right past you. How often has this scenario resulted in accidents? A cop car- without lights- following behind you on the highway, even? High-speed pursuits that endanger bystanders (or "bydrivers").

I have had some one say I should be shot two diffrent times on yahoo answes and have read answers to other's questions that say things like certan races of people should be murdered. I don't really think it will happen and am not fearing for my life but it makes me wonder if law inforcement ever investigates these things. I know we have free speech and I'm all for it but is thereating to do illeigal things illigal? What about the peopel on the mental health sectiion say they are considdering suicide? Does any one investigate those types of things? How are people investigated online?
I'm not advocating it, I'm just wondering.

It seemed very effective at stopping everything and keeping you in one piece. Why did the military ditch it?

It would be all about freedom of religion this and thats unconstitutional that, yet when huckabee says it for many its perfectly fine. Your silence is merely quiet agreement with the removal of democracy in my opinion.

and former Marines that each drill instructor portrays different unique characterisitics. the senior drill instructor was the father figure type. he was in charge of the platoon, even though he taught us discipline, for the most part, he wasnt the disciplinarian, his junior drill instructors are. its like a good cop bad cop thing. one drill instructor was for the most part the teacher, but he also disciplined recruits when needed. and there was the other drill instructor, he was the monster, everything you do is wrong. even if u say 2+2 is equal to four you are wrong!!! he acted very sadistic even though now i know he done all this for our good. my question is, do other Marines and former Marines saw this same pattern while in recruit training? i would love to hear from former drill instructors explaining the different characters drill instructors portrays and also do the other branches of the service practice their recruit training in a similar manner?

...I'm about to file for divorce from my husband who has assaulted me twice & broke the protective order. He has accused me several times of cheating, and says that he will bring it up in the divorce; since he has no proof(cause I haven't), since we have no kids together or property to divide (only married 3 months), should I hire a lawyer anyway since he's making threats but has no grounds or proof of them and since there's nothing to take away from me, such as kids, house, car (it was all mine before we were married)? I'm thinking & attempting to do the divorce myself. I've done it before and know how.

I don't consider myself to be on either 'side'. I mean, there's some liberal views I like, there's some conservative views I like.

1.) Gun Control: I oppose it. The Constitution clearly says that we have a right to bear arms

2.) Abortion: I support it. I believe a woman has her individual freedom and liberty to make her own choices. Why shouldn't she have that right just because some folks think it's immoral?

3.) Gay marriage: I seriously don't care. I really don't have an opinion on this issue. If gays are allowed to marry, fine I don't care. If they can't get married, fine I don't care.

4.) Illegal immigration: I'm with the conservatives on this one. illegal immigration is a serious problem that needs to get fixed and amnesty is NOT the answer. I'm all for deportation, ICE raids, a wall along the border etc. Most liberals I know oppose those things.

5.) Stem-cell research: I'm all for it. This is scientific breakthrough that will help humanity in the long run.
