China will be the nearest superpower to threaten America though i suspect America will be destroyed by its own people.

I believe that our greatest issue is from within. Our citizens are lost. No guaranties for justice or freedom exist anymore.
Our government will soon not only control what chemicals we use, but what foods you eat (no more super size meals), too much salt or sugar in this. What we are allowed to watch on TV or hear on the Radio or Read. If its even 'free' any more. this includes the Internet. It is only affordable for those who have the money.
Only those with the money for access will be allowed to use any of these things that used to be 'freedom of choice'.
To whether your too old, too fat, for employer insurance or benefits. No more employer responsibility for retirement. No more homes with too high risk mortgage. (Which will in the long run turn toward the consumers. Your too poor to own a home.)
Insurance is a joke whether you can afford it or not. They can still tell you, you can't have it. And when you finally die, oh well maybe they'll still bury you.
Our hopes & dreams as Americans are gone. What defines the American dream now? Maybe the gas will be cheaper today?
We truly have more to fear going to the doctor, hospital, church, mall or grocery store now than we do of a terrorist. You first need to define terrorist. They no longer seem to be of foreign descent.
I believe their ultimate motive is to drive the cost so high, in both bodies & expense. That we as a country=will be broke!

Yes, because there is always going to be a new kid on the block that thinks they are bigger and badder than you and wants to call you out to a fight in school yard...Don't see it coming from China or any Eorpean nation but, the one that I am worried about is Russia.
Putin is the wildcard, will he or won't he get his wish for the re-emergence of Russian supremacy? and a return to glory of the Russian military...like he wants and has said will happen in his lifetime.

Both China and Russia will have the capability eventually. Let's hope the world powers will have evolved beyond mutually destructive threats by then.

With half the American population not being willing to stand by their own country as it battles true evil in the world, I think the end is coming sooner than I would have ever thought

Yes. There is always the potential for a threat. A coalition of nations could decide to eliminate us as a threat to world peace, kind of like how we decided to take out Saddam Hussein. Iraq still exists, but it has nowhere near the clout it used to.

China or India could become superpowers.
Terrorism can't overthrow the US if thats what you mean; the worst thing that could happen is a nuclear suicide attack in a major city.
It's the economy and the technology supremacy that are at stake, and with that, the US's military and political muscle that are in danger.
