I was working at a community college in california for about 6 months. My last month working there was three months ago. Long story short, the payroll clerk did not send my final payroll slip to the main payroll office until about a month and a half ago. I call the payroll office daily to find out any information about when I will be receiving my final check. The woman is always busy, or hasnt heard anything, or she'll call me back, which never happens. My question is what can I do? It isn't very much money, only about 300 dollars. Can I file a complaint to a state board or to a better business bural or anything? Would it be worth taking legal actions or will it cost more that not getting it. I'm a college student and I cannot afford to drive back and forth to the school, it's about 70 miles away from my home, to hassel the people nor can I afford very much time but I don't want them getting away with this or doing it to another student.

We as Americans are more divided today then we have been in many years. You can blame whomever you want, I am not interested in who is the divider.

I just want to know if we can still agree to pledge allegiance to the Flag of the United States of America, and to the Republic for which it stands, one Nation under God(remove if you must), indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.

I for one am sick of our big bully government, ganging up with the likes of other bullies like Great Britain and Israel, and picking on little guys like Iraq, Iran, Venezuela, and North Korea. If anyone cannot be trusted with nukes, it is the USA. We are the only bully on the block that has ever used nukes. It is funny how this is the case, and we are always pointing our finger at the little guy and prohibiting them from having nukes. I believe Iran should have the right to nuclear weapons if it will protect them from imperialist jerks like the USA, Britain, and Israel. Go Iran!

He is reading it out loud on the House floor as I type this question.

House Resolution (H.R.) 333 contains articles of impeachment against VP Cheney.

As the charges are being read, I am wondering if Cheney will be held accoutable for the MANY quotes Kucinich is reading where Cheney KNOWINGLY lied to the American ppl, Congress and the press.

I recall from College the temperuture was some thirty degrees warming back then. Wouldn't that be the same as global warming and if so wouldn't the dinosaurs drown before reaching their huge sizes?

Bush lied about WMDs, he lied about 9-11, he lied about spying on Americans without warrants, and he lied about the secret prisons and the torture camps run by the CIA (among many other things). Why should we believe a liar? I think Bush is like the little boy that cried, "wolf". Besides, Iran's President tried to have a televised conference with Bush on these issues, and Bush backed out. I guess Bush would have crumbled on television when confronted with the truth, and he just couldn't have that happening in front of all the American people that he has been deceiving all along. I think it is high time we got rid of the Bush's and the Clinton's both. Both have a huge history of deceipt and lying to the American people. Time to try someone new, like Ron Paul for example.

That evil behavior exists among humans is undeniable. We disagree on how our society should respond.

The near intelligent animals have different strategies that we might consider adopting. Which (if any) do you prefer?

Female elephants protect their young. When grown, bull elephants are larger than any predator and, when provoked, sufficiently violent to deter them (until the bull becomes old and weak). Females travel in herds all their lives, finally becoming prey only when too ill or aged to continue traveling with the herd.

The non-human great apes do have predators. They move about in tribes or families and retreat vertically [up trees] to locations their predators can't follow when threatened. Surprise and concealment lead to some predator kills.

Dolphins (porpoises) also travel in groups. When confronted by sharks, they attack violently by ramming as a pack. They are fast enough to evade ocras (which travel in families)

Which strategy should the West adopt?
