If women worldwide had unrestricted access to birth control we wouldn't have a problem, but the religious radicals and some backwards governments won't permit the funding for or distribution of them because it's "immoral and tantamount to abortion."

The US alone would benefit greatly from restriction on how many children a couple can have.

The world has to evolve out of the religious dark ages before we'll see an end to the problem.

Welcome to the real world.

Some fear a collision with some rogue asteroid.

Some fear invasion by extraterrestrials.

Some fear WWIII

We're probably not going to be around that long anyway.

As you've noticed, we're over-populating, over-developing, over polluting everything. Generally man, as a lower form of life, hasn't discovered that... yet.

"Homo sapiens" means wise man... I think we need to revisit that... I'm not convinced of the wisdom of humanity.

Some posters have bashed you because you've pointed out the obvious. Some try to blame others. Some try to distract you from your observations by deflection.

It's not a political thing. All of humanity is destroying oxygen-producing organisms at an alarming rate. It's pure ignorance to bury ones head in the sand and say, "It's not my fault... it won't affect me." The next time you start up your car, you're burning a pint of the diminishing pool of fossil fuel and pumping a bunch of noxious gas into the air replacing oxygen you and everybody else would be able to breathe. Every time you throw away a plastic bottle, you're adding to land-fill and encroaching into the ocean. Did you know that the critters living in the top few inches of ocean are responsible for producing a large part of the oxygen you breathe? There used to be enough trees to do that... but we've had to cut them all down because we've over-populated, and need them to build houses.

Some posters seem to forget that man is an animal... at least most of us are... some seem to be more vegetable... and perhaps a few, dumber than "mineral"... at least intellectually.

There is plenty of food. It isn't due to population it is due to the greed of developers. Nature has a way of thinning itself out through disease, famine, etc. Your fear has no real basis. Many species have become extinct throughout the ages. Better to be concerned about what we are doing to our quality of air and the mistreatment of our planet. Or we may become the next extinct species.

Sure, it's obvious to all those with a brain and that's why some of us have opted not to have children. It would be interesting to see how many children the people who reacted with hostility to this question have bred.

Yes. I read that the food (resources) are very limited and not enough to support population growth. We could be in very dire circumstances in the future. It's scarey. I read something about cereal crops, there isn't enough supply to meet demand. It's a real threat.

What is the Republican plan? Do nothing. Ignore it. Spin it.

Are you more worried about the animals than humans? Maybe you should join an environmentalist group.

If you'd prefer humans go extinct, I suppose that's your right.
