TORTURE.

To dummy: Uh, hey pal? I don't live in the country where they chop off heads. I live HERE. A country with LAWS and a code of ethics.
"Propaganda?" So that's what the Rightwingnuts are calling Truth these days?
And it's NOT about "3 people being waterboarded" it's about a United States President actually defending torture. It's about Abu Graib. It's about Guantanamo. It's about people who ACTUALLY DIED WHILE BEING TORTURED.

To tll: Our own top military officials are ON RECORD as saying that "establishing rapport with the prisoners" elicits the most reliable information.
Gee - what a surprise that you had not heard that.

It sure as hell does! I don't understand how they believe it does anything good. It gives unreliable information. As a human to be the one doing the procedure it has to remove something from your humanity. if you had any to begin with. Yup it amazes me.
What method? Any method of torture. What does it matter?

Yes. I felt that this is not the American I grew up in. Then I read the results of a poll that said the 44% of people under 30 support torture but only 20% of people over 65 do. Now I realize that this is not the America I grew up in. Our obsession with protecting our children from harm, has produced a generation that thinks being safe not only trumps morality, but is itself a moral value that is more important than the constitution and basic human rights.

I think it's horrible. I know that in other countries they torchure people alot worse so it make it okay for us to do it to espially since America never torchured anyone. Becuase America doesn't torchure. Anyway We shouldn't even be 1% like those people out there who do suiceide bomings or whatever. We are America were everyone is equal we treat humans like humans no matter what side they are on. That is the America I belive in. Even though we were cruel to the Japenese durring WW2 so maybe this is the real america. We treat people who arn't like us. And taht's sad. Anywone with a soul would think about what there doing to those people and ther skin should crawl. If we think of them as less then human then what would make us anybetter.

Yes, I do. And to the person who said we should be looking at the side that is chopping off heads-We cannot control what they are doing, we can only control OUR OWN BEHAVIOR. Since when is the US the kind of country that tortures people? I thought we were the good guys.

i am not defending torture but i have watched at least 10 people (in one town) get away with extremly torturous and disgusting acts(and yes they claimed to be very religious). (i tried to stop them too, no luck because of all the people defending them) you have no idea what is happening inside your own country, you actualy do live in a country where people are chopping off heads. its just being hidden and hushed up.....because guess what happens to those who speak up? its horrible and needs to stop. but first we all have to open our eyes and see it, and give some justice to those who have suffered. how can we possibly help give justice to people living in other countries if we cannot even accomplish that here, its realy stretching our resources too thin, or being neive enough to think that we have everything under control here. dont be too quick to defend your own town either, because you never know what your neighbors are REALY up to. people that perform torturous acts are great at concealing their actions and blending into society. many cerial killers and rapests...etc were described by friends and coworkers as nice and friendly people, normal and good people, they never even suspected what kind of person they realy were.

What is always more outrageous is how these monumentally hypocritical and outrageously immoral CHRISTIANS seem to not even realize just how ANTI-CHRISTIAN this and a host of other barbarisms are.

They seem to view their faith and the ABSOLUTE DICTATES OF THE JUDEO-CHRISTIAN MORAL AND ETHICAL CODE as something you can just ignore if their own earthy self interests are at stake.

They collectively are saying SCREW OFF CHRIST ,NOT NOW it is not convenient !!!!!!!

Every friggin American who either supports the water boarding tortures et al and claim that this is not torture, need to have themselves and their loved ones put through this NON TORTURE starting with the friggin war mongering Anti-Christian Bush and his family .

The WORLD NEVER wants to hear any WHINING out of the war mongering mouths of Americans when their prisoners of war get TORTURED .As CHRIST told you friggin immoral Christian hypocrites, "THOSE WHO LIVE BY THE SWORD ,DIE BY THE SWORD".

IS THAT CLEAR ?????????

Yes because it stands to reason the torture doesn't work.
1. They are trained what to say in the event they are captured and tortured.
2. They will say anything but most probably a lie or admit to doing something they did not do to avoid the torture.

What ever happened to Sodium Penathol?

I believe you that torture is uncivilized, and should no longer be used.now we could consistently settle on what's torture and what's an aggressive interrogation. i do no longer think of sleep deprivation as an occasion is torture. i do no longer think of enjoying on a prisoners concern or dislike of bugs is torture. i think of water boarding probably is torture, yet i will work out the arguments for it is use. while in comparison with beheading, it is notably gentle. i assume we would desire to learn the values we carry as a society to the linked fee of the assistance being with held. How do you fee the flair loss of yet another 3,000 harmless lives in the subsequent terrorist attack? that's the lesser of two evils, because is the alternative we are dealing with.

People that defend the use of torture, and especially those who practice it, are subhuman and baser than the lowest life form on God's green earth.

I agree that it should strike one as bizarre and disturbing, but I've gotten so used to hearing the same people also arguing for war, fiscal crimes, race hatred, and homophobia that it doesn't upset me anymore - it only bores me. Once Bush goes away, their opinions will be irrelevant, just like Xianity.

when i was in rvn, torture happened. if someone was thought to have some knowledge that could save lives, it happened. i never saw or heard of waterboarding, but there are many methods to break someone down. i would approve of anything that saved american lives. once these terrorists start playing that game, i do not feel sorry for them. they do not feel sorry for their victims.
