How does any civilized nation cope with Fanatical Barbarism? What kind of people will plot to murder thousands-so crazed with hate they will kill their own famalies for the cause? Even after 9/11 we have been slow to recognize the nature of the Beast we face. It is hard for us to comprehend the mentality of, say, the group of 21 homegrown suicidal jihadists apprehended last year in Britian. We know not only that they were prepared to blow up 10 civilian airliners flying from London to the United States-which might have killed as many as 3,500 innocent people-but also that they planned to avoid airport scrutiny by traveling with their wives and children and were thus prepared to execute their nearest and dearest.

If the Constitution prohibits the government from endorsing religion, then why is the US financing Israel's fight to keep its Holy Land? We could finance a Jewish relocation to an equally desolate area such as Mexico, but they wouldn't go for RELIGIOUS reasons. Am I missing something here?

I believe....
In abortion on demand.
Capital punishment is barbaric but partial-birth-abortion is justifiable.
In same-sex marriage.
Higher taxes will help everyone.
Business and Capitalism create oppression and misery.
Only the Government can create prosperity.
Traditional gender roles are bad and un-natural.
Homosexual parades with drag-queens and trans-sexuals should be Constitutionally protected.
Manger scenes and public prayer should be illegal.
Children should be taught how to use a condom but not how to abstain.
That the same 4th-grade teacher who can't teach the children how to read should be the one teaching them about sex.
There was no Art before Federal funding and there can be none without it.
AIDS is spread by the lack of Federal funding.
Minorities can achieve anything (but only if they are helped by the Government.)
The National Rifle Association is bad because it supports certain parts of the Constitution.
The ACLU is good because it supports certain parts of the Constitution.

Reasons I hate it:

(1) Instead of gradually transitioning into earlier sunsets, boom! one day the sunset starts setting before I leave work.
(2) It screws up my biological clock and I always have trouble sleeping the night after the clocks change.
(3) No one knows what the point of Daylight Saving Time is, they just mindlessly do it. Allegedly it saves energy but I think this is a crock -- true people don't turn on their lights as early in the evening when DST is in effect but they turn them on and leave them on earlier in the day.
(4) If you're a pedestrian, you're more likely to get hit by a car right after DST ends because drivers aren't used to the early dusk.

Yahoo! was a stool pigeon for the communist Chinese government.
Their ratting out of a Chinese journalist to the government led to the journalist getting arrested and thrown into jail.

Yahoo! doesn't seem to have a problem punishing some of us if we violate some of their guidelines - and I would argue that some of those guidelines are very vague.
