If the Constitution prohibits the government from endorsing religion, then why is the US financing Israel's fight to keep its Holy Land? We could finance a Jewish relocation to an equally desolate area such as Mexico, but they wouldn't go for RELIGIOUS reasons. Am I missing something here?

It's not about the land being Holy... it's much more simple than your reasoning. It's just about the land... similar to our government putting Native Americans on reservations in order to steal their land.

The people of isreal also paid for every acre in cash or blood
when they are attacked they fight back usually to a good solid strategic position and then dig in. the price of attacking them is real estate and the nations around them are still bitching about the price. But they have quit sending troops at isreal
and the Isreali's have never started a fight over their borders.

Yeah your missing something alright, so much I don't quite know where to start.
Like the US isn't financing Israels right to keep its country so much as it is giving them money so we can have them do things we can't, like eliminate the Irani nuke plant a few years back, and that 'secret' mission in Syria where they were building another nuke plant. Its got nothing to do with religion, and everything to do with security, ours.
Why should they go to Mexico or anyplace else? They fought for their country same as we fought for ours. Should we go to South Africa? I mean wheres the sense in what you are saying?

The UN gave them that land in 1948 with our blessing. They took it from the palestinians. The logic was the Jews had it thousands of yrs ago it was rightfully theirs. The palestinians were only there a couple of hundred yrs. By that logic the UN could someday declare everything west of the missisippi belongs to the native american Indians again!!!! How do you think we would respond?

For starters, please let us know where it says in the US Constitution anything about the separation of church and state.
And for the record, who says that the US support of Israel is solely based on religious considerations?
In fact, it is not.

Yes you're missing something. Israel is a sovereign nation, not a religious camp.

why? i guess because we don't ahve to wear funny hats or rags. other than that- no difference. just another middle eastern religion
