Saddam was trading oil in euros and iran is threatening to do the same thing. Oil is traded in dollars which strengthens our dollar . Bush might have lied to get support for the war but in the end he might have been trying to keep the future of america as superpower secure.

Wouldn't every American be able to go see a doctor when they needed to?
Wouldn't doctors be guaranteed to be paid?
Wouldn't doctors be able to treat everything that's wrong with you and not just what your HMO approves?
Wouldn't it be possible to initiate an incentive program for doctors who actually cure patients or get them to quit smoking, lower their cholesterol, lose weight, etc.?
Would the government tell doctors how many operations they can perform per year as Republicans contest? No.
Would the government tell doctors where they could practice medicine? No.
Would there be a longer wait to see a doctor? No.
Would any more Americans lose their homes because of debt from medical bills? No.
Would taxes be increased? Yes. But it not only means that every other American can see a doctor for free, but YOU can too!
Thoughts?

charge for regular procedures and testing rather than try and pass the buck to the American tax payers to support a NAtional Health Care policy or some other free ride program for people who don't have insurance. You wouldn't need insurance at the cost it is if the State's regulated them. They regulate other county and state and city services. Why not hospitals and testing costs. It's crazy that simple tests that we have perfected still cost tens of thousands of dollars. No one believes the Health care margins are that slim that they HAVE to charge that much to cover their side. I know...please. I've heard the argument that doctors cost xyz..blah blah blah. Well, if a doctor wants to have hospital priveldges, then I guess they'll have to suck it up and be a little less rich if they want to send their patients to the hospital. I know there is laready a fee, so please don't say that either. You don't need insurance!
We need health care the regular guy can afford!

Use one of the most inefficent methods to help deliver their message?..I refer to newspapers that use millions of trees worth of paper each year, burn tons and tons of fuel to deliver the papers to the newsstands and homes and burn untold kilowatts of electricity to print the papers?..doesnt this stirke anyone as the ultimate in waste?..something akin to Algore flying around on a private jet and buring a kilowatt of electricity a second at his estate?...

The military presence is needed indefinitely, everyone knows if the US leaves then Turkey may attack the Kurds, a civil war will break out with the sunnies and the Shiites and who knows what the other bordering countries may do seeing an opportunity arise. Iraq has oil, lots of it...every neighboring country would want it for themselves if they could.

Is there any light at the end of this tunnel? Will Iraq be strong enough to work together and defend itself?
