Saddam was trading oil in euros and iran is threatening to do the same thing. Oil is traded in dollars which strengthens our dollar . Bush might have lied to get support for the war but in the end he might have been trying to keep the future of america as superpower secure.

I wouldn't say dollar supremacy was the only reason, but it was definitely the icing on the cake. The real prize was the privatization of the Iraqi economy, specifically the oil sector, but also telecommunications, roads, pharamceuticals, and other infrastructure. See Naomi Klein's 'Neoliberal Project' on YouTube...lengthy but comprehensive.

Well everyone has an opinion but there is one important factor that people dont seem to take into account. At the end of the first gulf war Iraq was given 10 years to become fully compliant with terms given their appalling attack on Kuwait. While some of the evidence was not right they were not doing what they agreed to, still provoking outside powers, still killing their own population and essentially being pains to everyone. Regardless of the benefits true or not to the outside world by freeing up their resources this was a big deal. The guy killed 1 million citizens. Sure there are other places in the world committing similar atrocities but you cannot fight on all fronts at once, the UN is plagued by Vito rights of countries that simply do not want the world to be stabilised so the US is doing what they can.

Its an ugly reality but reality is that, ugly.

Since most of the oil from those countries produce fuel for everyone but the US,our fuel mostly comes from Venezuela and Canada, with only a minor part coming from Opec sources( Kuwait,Saudi Arabia) I think your speculating and need further research.

Please tell all the bullies you meet: Iraq never had any WMD's , nor did any Iraqi fly into TwinTowers.
The real question is, Why did Tower #7 fall down, when it was not hit by a plane?

Well said but unfortunately, not well thought out or researched. Have you ever thought about thinking about something else?

There is no doubt in my mind that it was ALL about the oil and trying to protect Israel.
