In the times today they had a lot of grovelling stooges saying their data had beed cloned, and they would like iris recognition and other dictator rubbish installed in their brains. Made me think its all a set up and nothing has been lost.

yes ,perhaps , maybe, even .... another conspiracy theory ,the length the gov goes to get us the people to accept ID. scheme don't think so ...but I'm already brainwashed .....lost in the scheme of things ..hopefully ....lol

This breach is a great example of why the government cannot be trusted with the identity database. Campaigners such as no2id hope this can be the final nail in the coffin for ID cards.

I'm not sure how the government proving its own incompetence is supposed to make us happy to hand over yet more data to them.

I hope not, It would certainly be the wrong way to do it, as I now believe that things will only get worse with ID cards. For example, having all your personal information at one source makes it easier to get all your information in one go, not just easier for the authorities such as Police and Inland Revenue, but also for those who wish to do "bad things" with it too.

Say no, to ID cards, this case is a great example of why we should not have them.

Probably they will try it on but that is the reason why people like me oppose it. The government can not be trusted with last nights Liverpool Echo never mind your personal information
