What is the reason this time bush is hiding something? If bush is all about "accountability" why can't blackwater be held accountable? Are they doing something criminal? Something OPFOR in nature against our own military?

WASHINGTON (CNN) -- The Bush administration said Wednesday it opposes a bill that would bring private military contractors overseas under U.S. law, warning it would have "unintended and intolerable consequences" for national security."

I don't see much difference except for the fear mongering. And don't say because of 9/11 because the jury is still out.

Is health care only a privilege to those who can afford it? What about those who cannot afford health care? Should they not be able to take themselves or their sick child to the doctor? If you were in a position where you couldn't afford health care, wouldn't you want someone to help you? I'm not saying you should expect someone to help you, but if you did need help and it was there wouldn't that make you feel good about your country? If our government can give out $92 BILLION dollars in 2006 alone in Corporate Welfare, why can't we provide ALL Americans with health care? Where do you think that $92 billion came from? Tax payers pockets, that's where! If we can help the most fortunate in the US why can't we help the least fortunate?

Do you think that Congress should have the power to threaten private industry with sanctions because of their voice of political opinion???

I would bet that most of you say no, but don't you realize that this is EXACTLY what is occuring in the hype surrounding Rush Limbaugh and the Radio Communication industry.

Effectively, Democrats are threatening sanctions on the private radio industry because they wish to silence the voice of opposition. This is evident in the planned revival of the Fairness Doctrine and other vicious attacks on freedom of speech in the radio industry.

Please share your thoughts!

We know that Lucky Larry hit the jackpot on 9/11 when he bought the WTC complex on 9/11 when "Al Qaeda" blew up WTC 1,2 and 7. He put down $124 million and made $4 billion after the attacks and he even demanded $ 3 billion more from the insurance company!

After 9/11 he bought the Sears Tower because maybe he thought he would get lucky again. Sure enough, a plot was discovered where "Al Qaeda" was going to blow up the Sears Tower. What are the chances? What does Al Qaeda have against "Lucky" Larry Silverstein?

I am in my schools German Club (Students who are enrolled in german class), and we every year have sold German gummi candy (Haribo Roulette). And we got word that we could not this year, supposedly b/c it is "unhealthy", where as the school store, which sells everything from t-shirts to contact paper, can sell things like 3 Muskateers, and Blow Pops, even Fruit Roll-Ups! Is this right? Is there anything that we can do about it?

We know that mainstream media doesn't cover war protests, because it is their job to "sell" the war.

We know that the police are arresting people for no reason and are becoming more and more violent and confrontational these days, making protests potentially dangerous places to be.

We know that there are people hired to make trouble at popular protests (provacatours).

We know that you need a permit to protest and those are often denied for no reason.

And we also know that "free speech zones" are set up to be aware from the general public and that kind of defeats the purpose of a protest altogether.

So is this more spin to make people think that there are not that many people who are willing to protest the war?

Why Bush would veto a bill to provide health care coverage for children whose parents make too much to get Medicaid, but not enough to afford private insurance? Yet, we are willing to pour $191 billion dollars to stabilize someone else's country?

Even Republicans helped the bill get passed and he vetoed it immediately. http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20071003/ap_on_go_pr_wh/bush_children_s_health;_ylt=Alk6oeo8Na_uVKRgaS4EDmis0NUE

What the hell? Thanks.

I have insurance through my job and so does my husband. We are very covered, but I don't understand why he wouldn't allow assistance to children from lower income families.

And college?

Should we install Holy water fonts for other denominations?

What about Catholic confessionals?

I'm not a liberal or a con but I do believe this is a clear example of the double standard that now exists in our country.

It's for CHILDREN. And I am someone's child. The bill would not allow "free" health insurance to any "child" over 26.

I may be an adult of 54 (just like legal adults of 26) but this bill prevents me from stealing your tax dollars to pay MY bills.

It's so unfairrrrrrrrrrr.
