Thank goodness. I just wish he'd veto (or congress would stop passing) every bill which takes money by force from people who earned it honestly (taxes) and gives it to others. Having a good cause like helping the needy doesn't justify using the government to steal money from other people to support your cause. You'd be arrested if you robbed your neighbor at gunpoint to give the money to a health clinic for children. Why is it mysteriously a good thing when you use your vote to have the government's guns rob your neighbor?

If helping others is a good thing (it is) then you should be able to get people to do it voluntarily instead of using the government to force them to. Government has killed charity. More and more people see others suffering and think "it's the government's job" and walk on by.

properly, i've got not got plenty appreciate for this guy, as that's. while he unearths something unacceptable, he 'decrees' it as such. yet while others discover something unacceptable, they're blockading and refusing to do what's nice. working example, while the Congress did not bypass legislations to grant funds to the troops without timetable, which he became down, he claimed that Congress wasn't doing splendid and grow to be refusing funds to the troops. yet he's the single which became down the money. i think of that particularly generally Bush blames OTHERS for doing issues that are HIS accountability. That being stated, he will say that he's vetoing it for motives different than giving well being care to babies. i'm specific he believes that everyone babies could have well being care. He has different subject concerns as to HOW the well being care could settle for, and because he's often splendid and would by no ability make a mistake, in basic terms his perspectives are proper. i think this usa would be plenty greater useful off, commencing Jan 20, 2009!

I think its ridiculous that the program congress proposed would cover children in a family making $80,000 per year. Someone making that kind of jack should be purchasing their own health insurance, not having it provided by the taxpayers.

I disagree with most of the things President Bush has done, but I agree with him on this one. The bill that was proposed went too far. Congress needs to come back with a plan that will take care of the poorest children, but leave the middle class to get their own health insurance.

Ok, I am not fully aware of the story surrounding this bill, but let me say this, we are the dumb asses who voted him into office and if more people don't get out and vote this time around, then they have nothing to complain about. I think that it is your responsiblity as citizens, to vote for the leaders and clearly we made a major mistake on this guy, but that is because a lot of people, poor and minority as well as others don't take the time to get out and vote, so if you don't vote, don't complain, because by you not voting it adds to the problem.

Why would kids need any health care if they will be killed in Iraq anyway if they grow up.
That would be a waste of money we could be using to invade Iran.

Okay by me as long as it means illegal immigrant children and their parents get no health care except extreme emergency health care. I'm all for them paying for everything in addition to being deported. If they have money to send back to their country of origin, they can pay and pay and pay just like we have to.
