I went to paint and side my house today because yahoo weather told me it was not going to rain today or for the next 2 days at all not even a chance of rain as did the national weather service. So i went to paint and took my gutters off however when I was finished about an hour later it began to rain hard while I was at the store. Now I have $150 of paint and primer washed off my house a $500 table saw fried also a wet basement. The basement is wet because I live in a 300 year old home and the foundation is made of stone so if the rain water is not brought far away from the house it goes right though the stone and inside. Is there anything I can do to get them to pay for this or do they call this an act of nature?

We can allow the oppinion from economistis, political science expert and international relations expert. As I live my past life of 69 years, I saw and experienced wars in each year: The big Atomic Bombs, After World War Two wars, Korea, Beirut, Viet Nam, Communists - Capitalists, Irak, Iran, North Korea
seems to be a never ending war. Who profits from all wars?

It seems that rhetoric is all that is accomplished on the Hill today and the country in general. With so many issues that need addressing like health care, environment, education, campaign reform, immigration reform, foreign policy, and domestic economy, it seems like all that gets done is name calling on BOTH sides. How is government suppose to get anything done? It is the country as a whole that suffers when nothing gets done. Is there any hope?

This is a serious question and I'd appreciate serious answers please!

There are alot of similarities between how Hitler & Hussein ran their countries, including their acts of genocide, attacking every country around them, & horrible accounts of torture & mass murder. The only differences are 1. Hitler was more successful than Hussein & 2. To appease the "Keep America Weak" contingent, America gave Hitler alot more room to carry out his vicious & horrible acts than we gave Saddam (that is to say, we learned from our mistakes from our experience dealing with mad men in the past & used that experience to prevent greater atrocities from happening).

Is there really no situation whatsoever in which America has the right to get involved in foreign affairs to either protect our country from things that are happening now, OR prevent other things that seem most likely to happen down the road? If you think America does have the right to take action (proactive or otherwise) where would you draw the line.

Let's say you got the "army" out of America. Then released a major virus like the bird flu or aids, or someting even more contagios- like through a sneeze, and you and your partners had the only anti-virus.

How important would that military force be to you if you and your 1000 or so friends were the only survivors of that deadly pandemic?

Wouldn' you want that army to defend you from the "enemy" that wiped out the American people?

"Home Owner Associations" have taken this giant step and have all but crossed that little friendly line. They began by telling us that it is for the good of the neighborhood to keep it looking nice and home values up.... while this is true there is a heavy price to pay... it has now "evolved", as most social products do, into a full blown step towards a communistic society... where all the homes in the neighborhood must look pretty much the same with no one home having any advantage over the others. They dictate the colors you can paint your house, the number of cars you can own and where they are allowed to be parked and at what times, the types of window treatments and yard ornaments, flags and so on... I saw one where it was required to have a working fountain in the front yard. Then they actually have the gaul to charge you a monthly fee for having the privlege of buying a home in that neighborhood. They claim those funds go to the upkeep of the neighborhood... but....

As the Presidential advisor for the last 6 years of failure, why is Rove just cutting and running all of a sudden?

Everyone has been saying something might happen this weekend, late on the 18th or around 1:00AM or so on the morning of the 19th.

The U.K. and Israel has been picking up chatter.

The 18th is the anniversary of the burning of the Whitehouse from the war of 1814

Perhaps Rove knows what is coming and doesn't want to be involved or worse in the general area.

Martial Law is almost upon us.

They said it - they gave it 90 days for an Al-Qaeda "Summer Attack".

If nothing happens - thats great - but be aware.

Turd Blossom is running - so something is about to happen

In keeping par with their magnificent wasting of time & tax money to investigate everything the Bush admin. does, could they conjure up some accusations or speculations to justify more senate investigations or hearings? Maybe they could find $90,000 in bribe money in his freezer.

Take petroleum products for example,Nigeria is not a Social ist country yet, private companies are not allowed to set up individual refinery companies to break the monopoly of the innefficient State owned NNPC.Instead of the Unions to agitate for private companies to be established, they are fightinting the Goverment not to sell its own refineries to the public. The trade unions are fighting for their selfish ends and not for the masses because the govt refineries have been there since ages without any improvement.Private refineries are the answers to the Nigeria's energy problems. They will also solve the unemployment headache, besides generating revenue by means of tax payment to the govt.Hostagetaking will stop as the youths will be gainfully employed..Electricity will be generated in abundant supply since there will be enough supply of GAS to its power generating stations. As a matter of fact , the multiplier effects will be more than what can be imagined for a stable polity.

Once UK's politics & politicians were also totally corrupted like India's. Today, I am sure that UK's politics is corruption free or atleast many times better than Indian politics. One time Margaret Thatcher mentioned that Indian politics will get out of corruption like the way UK did. I am very curious to know how UK managed to do that. Thanks in advance.
