I went to paint and side my house today because yahoo weather told me it was not going to rain today or for the next 2 days at all not even a chance of rain as did the national weather service. So i went to paint and took my gutters off however when I was finished about an hour later it began to rain hard while I was at the store. Now I have $150 of paint and primer washed off my house a $500 table saw fried also a wet basement. The basement is wet because I live in a 300 year old home and the foundation is made of stone so if the rain water is not brought far away from the house it goes right though the stone and inside. Is there anything I can do to get them to pay for this or do they call this an act of nature?

It's an act of nature.

They call it a weather PREDICTION for a reason. It is not the weather FOR SURE.

Good luck on that one. There is no way they will pay for the services. Yahoo and the weather channel would say it is an act of nature. Plus no matter how smart humans become we still have trouble getting it right with the weather all the time.

Predicting the weather is not an exact science, as there are many factors that can change the outcome of preditcted weather. No, there is no way to get your money back. You shouldnt rely on just Yahoo for your weather. Try weather.com, so you can see an actual look at Doppler radar and can see if there are any fronts moving in.

It's an act of you having too much faith in weather forecasting. Theyr'e basically predicting the future - they can't always be right.

By the way, all weather forecasting comes from the National Weather Service one way or the other.

I think you are S*hit out of luck. Who would you sue anyway? A weather prediction is just that, a prediction, not a guarantee. Sorry about your house though.
