The Boy Who Cried Wolf, also known as The Shepherd Boy and the Wolf, is a fable attributed to Aesop. The protagonist of the fable is a bored shepherd boy who entertained himself by calling out "wolf". Nearby villagers who came to his rescue found that the alarms were false and that they'd wasted their time. When the boy was actually confronted by a wolf, the villagers did not believe his cries for help and his flock perished. In some versions when the villagers ignore him the wolf either kills him, and in other versions the wolf simply mocks the boy saying now no one will help him and that it serves him right for playing tricks. The moral is stated at the end of the fable as:

"Even when liars tell the truth, they are never believed. The liar will lie once, twice, and then perish when he tells the truth."

India and Pakistan were parts of the same country so when one gets separated the other automatically becomes separate. So both the countries should have been declared independent simultaneously. Also pakistan is also a smaller country so how did it get the chance to get freedom earlier. The partition was caused because Pakistan insisted for that and India agreed to it. So as a courtesy India should have go the preference to celebrate it before them. Or is it as usual sacrificing body has to sacrifice always taken for granted.

When the President first took office in 1789, the population census in America( the 13 original colonies) was roughly 4 million people (including slaves).

And today's census includes over 300 million people with still one person at the helm.

Should something change?

What are your thoughts?

I just dont see any reasons, as to why we went over to iraq, after congress and the senate except for a couple, signed a bill of war against terrorism, against the country of Afganistan, in which Bin Laden who the President exclaimed was the man behind 9-11-2001.
i can understand that after we deverted to Iraq, to help clean up what Dad Bush 41 wanted Sadom out, Sadom met hell in 2005, its after his capture i dont see why we are still In the country of iraq at war, other than to load the pockets of the Rich, greedy, and Powerful country's, also how much is our Hog money payouts, to the UK, And all the others who we had to buy to stay on with us to go fight iraq? lets leave in Surges as we came, and devert back to the war we really went at with Afganistan. Should be much more easier if we leave quickly, if al those taliban are over in Iraq, then whose watching their backs in Afganistan, Maybe its time for Rove to slide out, Bush and Chaney try to look smart, Devert out!

She's like one of those moms who overprotects their son. You know the type. He holds onto her skirt while she gives a lecture to the bullies that were picking on him. It seems like she does all the talking for him while he just pampers himself in the background. Like those effeminate kids on the bus who smelled like diapers and kept to themselves. And you felt sorry for them, until they ran off the bus and their mommy got on the bus and started yelling at everyone. Then when she got off and the bus drove away everyone burst out laughing so hard. Even the bus driver. Because the kid was such a wimp and his mother only made it worse. The poor kid. Now they're REALLY gonna pick on him!

That's what John Edwards seems like. His wife is always overly vocal and responsive to the other candidates, and he just sits there quiet in the background.

And he wants to be PRESIDENT?

SHE should run. It's clear she has a set of cajones and clearly wears the pants in their family.

Well, the Right says CNN lies, and the Left says Fox lies so I have a couple questions:
1. I heard on BOTH last week that Basketball Player Bill Garnet was traded to the Celtics.
2. I heard On BOTH there was a Meteor Shower.
3. I heard on BOTH it was 98 degrees in my City.

If they are BOTH said it, what do I believe???

Or could it just be the "Entertainment Talk Shows" that are different?????

I'm sitting here watching "Man of the Year" in which Robin Williams plays a comedian who runs for President and ends up winning. What would happen if an Eddie Murphy, a George Carlin, a Chris Rock, a Jerry Seinfeld, a Dave Chappelle or any other comedian you can think of decided to run for President?

Frankly, with the housing market crash, the cost of gas prices, and the rising cost of electricity and natural resources, I don't see what is so good about it. Maybe during 2003-2005 we had a couple good years, but right now it's a mess.
Of course this is just my opinion. How do you feel about the state of our economy?

What's the point of these rediculous questions?

Are you just looking for some sort of reaffirmation of your own rediculous one sided close minded opinion?

Why ask a question if you don't intend to learn anything from it?

From the Financial Times:

"LEARN FROM THE FALL OF ROME, US WARNED"

The US government is on a ‘burning platform’ of unsustainable policies and practices with fiscal deficits, chronic healthcare underfunding, immigration and overseas military commitments threatening a crisis if action is not taken soon, the country’s top government inspector has warned.

David Walker, comptroller general of the US, issued the unusually downbeat assessment of his country’s future in a report that lays out what he called “chilling long-term simulations”.

These include “dramatic” tax rises, slashed government services and the large-scale dumping by foreign governments of holdings of US debt.

Drawing parallels with the end of the Roman empire, Mr Walker warned there were “striking similarities” between America’s current situation and the factors that brought down Rome, including “declining moral values and political civility at home, an over-confident and over-extended military in foreign lands and fiscal irresponsibility by the central government”. ...

... “Our very prosperity is placing greater demands on our physical infrastructure. Billions of dollars will be needed to modernise everything from highways and airports to water and sewage systems. The recent bridge collapse in Minneapolis was a sobering wake-up call.”

Mr Walker said he would offer to brief the would-be presidential candidates next spring.

“They need to make fiscal responsibility and inter-generational equity one of their top priorities. If they do, I think we have a chance to turn this around but if they don’t, I think the risk of a serious crisis rises considerably”. "
