As a country, we need dialogue. We need to talk and to listen to one another. The solutions we seek to our problems as a country are in the same place the majority of Americans find themselves politically; the middle. America is a great country, but it could be better. A Peaceful Revolution where we fight with our voices and our votes is the way to go!

No, a revolution would only make things worse. What we need is to get people to wake up and vote for the right candidates.

I can only think of two things that could conceivably justify a revolution, and I don't think either will ever happen. One would be if the Republicans ever passed their idiotic "flag desecration amendment", which would essentially make it a crime to have a dissenting opinion, and the other would be if the religious extremists managed to repeal the First Amendment. I don't think either will ever happen, because even the Republicans aren't stupid enough to think either is a good idea. They just keep trotting those ideas out around election time because they know there are people gullible enough to vote for anyone who pretends to be in favor of those things.

You need a new leader. Not a revolution unless there is another form of government. However some powerful people are keeping Bush in office. You all are screwed. Post traumatic war syndrome. Not just the soldiers. But everyone at home. Wherever you go. You don't have peace. At the back of your mind, you just know that people are watching you all because you are a U.S. national.

I'd be more concerned with a civil war at some date way in the future if folks don't start reasoning with their neighbors.

Just read what is posted in YA. Some good, some bad. But I see a lot of anger.

I hope the day never comes when we have to start solving issues the same way they are in the middle east.

A revolution won't work. Look at the way we talk to each other on this website, we refuse to respect the rights of those with opposing views. A revolution would require people agreeing on why, how, when and also, who leads.

Are there issues? Yes, but they can be fixed if we all work together.

I want to go on a vacation, but I can't afford it, and I would have to work even harder when I come back.

I don't mind acting like a viking and taking what I want for a change at times. I try to earn it, but earning it the honest way isn't cutting out for me.

Does anyone have a boat that we can be pirates on? lol
It will be a vacation and a chance to earn money. hehe

To see what is written on YA one would think so. But I really think we are going to be okay. Starting January 20, 2009 we will begin to see a slow but steady recovery to the great nation working together that we once were.

And what would a revolution gain?

I am so tired of people being mad at the world and wanting a revolution. Are you doing anything to make the world better beyond complaining?

You are so wrong. The US is the greatest country on earth. We have the best form of government. We have a booming economy. Low unemployment. Unlimited opportunity. With all of this you are bellyaching. You won't be able to hear it, but I am going to sing "God Bless the USA" as loudly as I can.
