Our local council say they have no council houses available and homeless families are offered hostels or told to find private rents.

The roads are in a terrible condition.

We get no recycling collection, just big green wheelie bins into which everything is chucked.

The police are useless - after my partner was threatened with a knife by the local hoodies we rang the police and they said they'd come and take a statement. They never did.

Yet they charge us all nearly £1,000 each per month in Council tax.

Just what the hell are they spending it on then?

Certainly not on "services"!!

Second Opinion
Zen and the Art of Coping With Alzheimer’s
By DENISE GRADY Published: August 14, 2007
NewYork Times
During the YouTube forum with the Democratic presidential candidates in July, the first question about health care came from two middle-age brothers in Iowa, who faced the camera with their elderly mother. Not everybody with Alzheimer’s disease has two loving sons to take care of them, they said, adding that a boom in dementia is expected in the next few decades. “What are you prepared to do to fight this disease now?” they asked. The politicians mouthed generalities about health care, larded with poignant anecdotes.
None of them answered the question about Alzheimer’s.

I have asked this question before. I was insulted, agreed with, and made fun of. I intend to go through all of those again with this question, so your attempt at making me feel bad simply won't work.

Anyway, back on the topic:

WHY must we press 1 to continue in English? THIS IS THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, last time I checked!

For instance, liberals support abortion and gay rights, and republicans feel every individual should be responsible for their own financial means no matter what the circumstances are, and speak about God while they are making war with other countries. All things that are disagreeable.

I swear, I totally swear Bush said

the ONLY reason we are going to Iraq is to fight the terrorists that hopped into those airplanes and flew into the WTC on September the 11. Because we know they are there. We have proof. Matter of fact I saw them with my own eyes."

Didn't Bush say that?

It's not actually in the constitution. Follow this link and read for yourselves the first amendment if you don't believe me:

http://www.constitutionfacts.com/index.cfm?section=constitution&page=billOfRights.cfm

With that said, I again ask "What's with 'separation of church and state'?" All that stuff that the government decides about what religions should or shouldn't be allowed (and stuff like that) is just a load of unconstitutional crap!

They say they stand for freedom but they are the first to ban stuff they don't like (guns, cigarettes)

They say they stand for diversity but they don't like you if you don't agree with their beliefs

They say they stand for upholding the law but they don't enforce it.

I don't think most people understand what the bottom line is. What you are seeing with loss of jobs, declining incomes, war, division and America in decline is really all due to economics.
There is some 320 Million Chinese under the age of 14. There is also millions in India. This is the new market and we the American people are funding it. Its called the free market and we are buying ourselves into oblivion. As the Chinese standard of living increases we in turn lose jobs to them. The corporations don't care. As an example I work for a 5 yr old company who this year will get 52% of it business from overseas. Expansion will happen there, not here. We need tariffs on goods coming in and job creation here or we are dead meat. That's the bottom line, a fair market not a free one like you have been led to believe.

If we pay Federal & State taxes, why is it not considered double taxation to have our goods taxed? We pay multiple taxes for Gas, cigarettes or when we shop. From the money you earn you are taxed. Then purchases are taxed. By the time you add up the taxes it can be a large percentage. Why/How is this legal? Have kids who want to know.

The science is clear. We must act now to reduce the heat-trapping gases that cause global warming. "BY INVESTING" in clean, renewable energy sources, fuel-efficient transportation, and energy efficient technology, we can reduce our emissions 2 percent per year through 2050 as called for by leading scientists. States and local governments are already moving forward. It is time for Congress to act.

I'm only interested in a translation in what their version of "investing", not the global warming debate.

Like my brother some 3600 otehr Americans have died. They are gone not for freedom or anything honorable. They are gone becuae bush lied. Colon Powell pounded his finger on the UN desk with "facts" about chemical trailers. My borhter was there. There were no chemical trailers. NONE.

Bush said Sadam was buying eriched urnium from Africa. My borhte was there. Ther wasn't any enriched uranium.

My brother said none of the WMDs or any og it existed. NOt jst him but letters by other soldeirs said the same thing. There weren't any of it. That is whe y brother relaized it was all a lie. He knew it. He once beleived in bush and wanted to fight the enemy the terrorist. He said he wanted America to be safe.

Then he found all of the things that bush claimed were not true. We got letters from him, and his friends. None of the tings Rumsfield said were true.

another Bushy trying to delay this war for bush until he gets out of office.
"I will recommend we downsize our troop levels, but we should not keep them to a force so small that we lose what progress we have made up until now"

There is no progress.
We cant keep the positions we have because theres not enough U.S. soldiers, plain and simple.

Theres too much territory to shift around, that the enemy resorts to being mobile.
Heck, we take a positon and move, and look what happens they overflood a different position.

This who aim is to make it so there are permanent bases in IRAQ,,thats the entire goal here.

Its time to pull out..we can pull out 10,000 troops per month
and as far as civilian contractors.....that should be the responsibility of the contracting companies, and on their own bill.

Why should the U.S. government give out no-bid grants to civilian contracting comapnies, then pay every one of their bills?
Thats a sham!
The biggest sham of them all.

And we're paying for that
