The reason I ask is .... Today my wife and I tried to find a pediatrician for our newborn. We called every doctor in town, and NONE of them are accepting new patients. We finally found someone after about 100 phone calls....but my newborn won't get to see a doctor for another two months ! She's already 2 months old.

I just don't see how the healthcare system could get any worse than it already is...no matter what system we go to anything has to be better than what we have currently.

Russia plans on dropping a flag at the bottom of the arctic waters to claim and prove that it is part of the Russian terroritory. They predict there are vast amounts of havestable resources deep under the ice.

While the U.S. is planning on dominating space for military superiority and acquiring plentiful resources on the moon and beyond, is it possible Russia is planning on dominating Earth's ocean technologically for resources and military superiority?

Instead of trying to beat the U.S. in a space race, is it possible Russia is taking a different route to power? Technically speaking, who ever controls Earth's oceans does control the world, since 3/4th of the world is made up of oceans.

JFK is often praised for his handling of the Cuban Missile Crisis. Did he actually cause the crisis? His botched Bay of Pigs invasion gave Cuba the justification to ask for missiles to protect themselves from invasion. For that matter, his decision to put Bobby in charge of the invasion helped it's failure, especially when Bobby ordered the supporting air strikes at the wrong time, and general uncertainty and incompetence. By scaling back the CIA's original plan, Kennedy left just enough of the plan intact to ensure failure. That failure led directly to the famed "Missiles of October".

By definition, the Supemem court makes the system less democratic; it can overrule laws passed by the legislative branch, which by virtue of the representatives being directly elected by the people, as opposed to the Supreme Court, whose body is selected by appointment and thus the selection of the justices is less directly tied to the public’s desires....therefore, it is less democratic. Also, justices are appointed, not elected and have indefinite term lengths, so they are more inependent with their policy making.

of what LIARS like Bush, Cheney, Rumsfeld, Meyers et. al. say in Congressional hearings and speeches?

For instance today Rumsfeld and Myers told Congress "we don't remember when we learned of Pat Tillman's fratricide"...meaning they remember exactly when they gave the order to Execute Tillman.

Rumsfeld also said "I've always impressed upon Pentagon underlings the importance of telling the truth"...meaning "I always told the Pentagon to conceal the truth at all costs".

When you apply this calculus to everything these criminals have said over the years you get much closer to the TRUTH and the world makes much more sense...IF you cherish living in REALITY.

In the interests of democracy, isn't it time the conservative party was disbanded for good and replaced by a party that actually believed in more than making Rupert Murdoch happy?

It's all over in here...

Lib this...dem that...conservative this...republican that....

Now, I am not saying that those groups of people don't exist, they do, but what I have a problem with are people on here that automatically label someone based on ONE answer.

I have been accused of being a lib, a conservative, a democrat and a republican...and I am not any of those.

Why do people categorize others on here based on only one view or one answer that they have given?

Considering the Democratic "machine" politics headed by Richard J. Daly in 1960 led to the illegal ballot stuffing in Cook County for JFK on the orders of Joseph Kennedy and Daly, why do Irish Americans not get blamed for the Cuban Missile Crisis, the South Vietnamese coup d'état that led to an assasination, Bill Clinton (JFK worshipper), the 2000 election debacle (Daly's son was Gore's campaign manager) and the Iraq War?
