None of them represent me. I don't have 90 million bucks to waste trying to influence people to give me a job. I'm lucky I can afford ramen noodles. We'll never elect a politician who represents the average person. They're all little rich kids who went to Ivy League schools and couldn't survive a day in the real world. Before they can run for office, we should test them by taking away all their money and status and making them work at the mall for six bucks an hour. THEN they can tell me how they plan to improve health care and lower oil prices. None of them have a clue how the majority of us struggle day to day and paycheck to paycheck.

I can't answer that. Nobody I voted for won. I practically had to beg my senator to answer, what to me was an extremely important question. He did finally answer one of my questions in a letter after several months, but he did answer.
This is his 3rd term and he is very low profile.
Our state finally went with daylight savings time which many people didn't want. They raised taxes within the state on everything from soup to nuts. I feel like I've been taken over, not represented.

Well, I voted for Arnold Swarzenegger because he was going to keep spending down, but once elected, he wanted to socialize medicine in california and start solving the global warming problem. I didn't bargain for that, and would have voted 3rd party if I had any idea. George Bush was supposed to privatize part of social security...and to his credit, he tried. What he wasn't supposed to do was try to outspend democrats...which he has (don't tell me it's all on the war...he's been a social spender too!). Basically, I tend to be disappointed by most once they are in office, and I tend to vote for the lesser of two evils.

To represent you, they have to know how you feel.
If they're not one of your parents, the only way they'd know how you feel would be to talk to you. How often do YOU talk to your elected so-called representatives? Most of us do this once in a lifetime, or zero times during the representatives term. We can write letters, but we don't know if they're even read.
So how accurately would you guess?

Since the last election I have found very little to indicate my wishes as well as the majority of the wishes of the people have been given any consideration by the elected officials. This country has been taken over by conglomerates and their payoffs accomplish far more than our votes.

They do not represent me at all.
In fact the message was clear in November that America was fed up with being ignored.
But still, it goes on and with the other party now.
Yet, this Government starts wars and occupies foreign lands in my name.
It seems like everytime they take away one of our civil liberties or decide to bomb someone, they say they are acting on behalf of the American people.
They haven't acted on my behalf since about January 2002.
Who are these American people, I would sure like to know. Everyone I have talked to is fed up! So, the American people they are talking about must live up in the Hamptons or Crawford.

The ones chosen by the popular vote, are not the ones 'elected' to office..

People need to wake up and start fighting for our country & our constitution... before there is nothing to defend..

I rarely find the candidates as fulfilling their promises... or even try to fulfill them.
This happens in both parties... lying or misleading the American people is not exclusive to either party.
