How is the rest of the world suppoused to feel safe?

as many as it takes to straighten the world out.. its not the US's fault that other countries start things. But it is their job to finish it...

I am sure, if the troops come home from Iraq, the Pentagon will find a reason to invade some other poor country with no military to speak of. Maybe Panama, oh, been there, why not Bermuda. Soldiers will die during the invasion only in friendly fire like in Afghanistan and Iraq.

I think the US would feel completely safe if they could just completely STAUNCH (perfectly acceptable spelling and definition...according to Miriam-Webster's Dictionary of the English Language. http://www.m-w.com/dictionary/staunch Perhaps you should double check your facts before you try to play editor, Azawalli...Unlike some people, I DO know the language) the invasion of illegal aliens into the USA. What do you think about that, Jose? OH, and the word is "supposed"...learn the language.

The US doesn't invade other countries to feel safe. We invade to make money. For example, in Iraq, we have folks over there 'rebuilding'. One of the main contractors is called Haliburton.
Bush and others in the white house and administration OWN part of that company, so they are making MILLIONS of dollars over there.
We invade to take control of the oil.

If this administration and (it sounds like) many of the cons on Answers had their way, we'd invade everybody that doesn't agree with us, or doesn't give us what we want, or simply doesn't toe the line the way it's perceived they should. That includes just about everybody on Earth, right now. Look out Canada, make sure you don't get put into the "axis of evil"!

LORI K: About learning the language, I believe the word you were looking for was "stanch" (which means to block or stop the flow of a liquid, as in "a bandage will stanch the flow of blood") rather than "staunch" (which means loyal or resolute, as in "he is a staunch supporter of the Republican party").
