The Director of the FBI.

And before you go freaking out about what the FBI is working on, take a look at their charter and the federal laws that apply.

The FBI is NOT ALLOWED to go after people outside the US. Their federal authorizing statute specifically limits their activities to domestic crimes.

If you want to change the laws, and redirect the people currently in the FBI to other acitivies -- go ahead. But don't blame them for doing what they are legally required to do.

Edit: As noted below, you might be talking only about domestic terrorists, which would be within the FBI mandate.

So, are you then saying that they should ignore all other federal laws, and all other criminal activity and focus just on that one issue?

I think he meant looking for terrorists working inside the United States

You know, foreign students - like the ones who flew planes into the World Trade Center

They should be searching for those guys, instead of worrying about a few hundred copied XBox games

Supposedly the director, but he takes his orders from the justice dept, His boss is A. Gonzales, the Atty. Gen. of the U.S., and he takes his orders from Bush, who in turn takes his orders from congress and the senate, the REAL people who are in power.
