If, and it is a big if with sabres being rattled in Iran's direction and Americans being dedicated to the principal of 'not changing horses in mid stream,' but IF George does leave office in 2008 what would be a good post White House Gig? I suggest President of Yale University since his Alma Mata should be Proud of their 'son,' but if George wishes to live on his Crawford Ranch then Perhaps the University of Texas? Universities need 'deciders' and George has shown he is not afraidf to lead. What do you think would be the ideal gig for ex President Bush?

I'm iranian and personally If Bush the idiot makes this move before leaving office it would be devastating to the US army, and drafting would be intiated.

Pentagon Paid $998,798 to Ship Two 19-Cent Washers Tony Capaccio
Thu Aug 16, 12:52 PM ET

Aug. 16 (Bloomberg) -- A small South Carolina parts supplier collected about $20.5 million over six years from the Pentagon for fraudulent shipping costs, including $998,798 for sending two 19-cent washers to a Texas base, U.S. officials said.

The company also billed and was paid $455,009 to ship three machine screws costing $1.31 each to Marines in Habbaniyah, Iraq, and $293,451 to ship an 89-cent split washer to Patrick Air Force Base in Cape Canaveral, Florida, Pentagon records show.

The owners of C&D Distributors in Lexington, South Carolina -- twin sisters -- exploited a flaw in an automated Defense Department purchasing system: bills for shipping to combat areas or U.S. bases that were labeled ``priority'' were usually paid automatically, said Cynthia Stroot, a Pentagon investigator.

That and why are we offering to give them money for their military? Is that ever a wise thing to do?

The moral of the story is that aggressive welfare systems, funded by high taxes, has proven to lower the standard of living in Europe to the point that even the poor in the United States enjoy more comfort than that of the average European.

If Americans won't learn from Europes mistake, we are likely to repeat it.

It seems that a lot of people complain, whine, moan and groan, but how many people actually get out there and try to affect change? What have you done to affect change in something that you were dissatisfied with?

have let left-wing kooks "hijack" their party just as moderate Muslims have let extremists "hijack" their religion? Do you feel as I do that conservatives are only strong enough to keep their convictions without letting something or somebody "hijack" our principles?
