It's really sad.
I actually saw a troubling news on TV to day.
Lot of solders between 17-25 years of age, from infantry has been committing suicide since beginning of the war. In 2007, it has been around 50 suicide so far.
Its astonishing and so sad to realize, what makes them to kill them selves and what they go through, right before they commit suicide.
I can just assume, as you've mentioned, they've found out they've been used and lied to along with watching innocent people die on daily basis for no logical reason.
This is so infuriating beyond words.
I deeply hope, bush, cheney and their fellow criminals who had hands in this war,"rot in hell" for the agonizing pain and frustration they have brought upon dying innocent people and their remaining families.

I will not even attempt to answer this question as many have already answered it in a very intelligent manner...as for the rest, your ignorance astounds me...and I fully expect my answer to be delteed y one of the eternally ignorant in this "democracy?".
JohnFromNC..Most of the world did not agree there were WMD..that is pure revisionist to justify Americans being lied to…and always remember, when you are so quick to judge a “terrorist” as being “radical”, that Nelson Mandela was a “terrorist” but he was fighting a legitimate oppressor and of course the Israelis were always credited with fighting the threat of oppression with terrorism in the 40s and as being the first to use such tactics, and your own George Washington et al were terrorists to the British…so do not be so quick to judge who is right or wrong in this affair. AND
Ahcho N…you are a typical American and an extreme idiot..sorry but that is the only way I can describe someone who calls names but has not the balls to leave an email up…”welfare” computer…is that the best you can do?...oh my email is there and I am open to all the venom you can spew. AND
consrgreat: “So Either you are that UNINTELLIGENT or
You are a LIBERAL LIAR...or a TERRORIST SUPPORTER trying to put out false info....your choice as to which you are BUT....please give FACTS..not lies”…sad, and perhaps you can share your sources with us and maybe put your email up so we a can enlighten and be enlightened…I particularly want to see the Syria and the nukes story..is it the Disney version of the US venture? AND
Nothingusefulle…and even Cheney has backtracked in your own media relating the Twin Towers to Iraq..give it up and find some facts like this lady gives before you try and put her down with fallacy AND
Leonides K…great source of facts…Israel???...and backtrack on Iran because you are being duped once again..no doubt on Israeli intelligence.
I rest my case and all who may feel wronged, I do have an email on site.

There are many people calling for the impeachment of George Bush but nothing has been done. Wars happen but there must be a decisive reason for them. No talk about how Israel intelligence knew about wmd in Syria, rather than Iraq is going to convince to the contrary that this was a war of opportunity. Our military had Osama and his cronies in their sites within Pakistan but did nothing because of what they felt would be hampered relations. That was nearly 5 years ago and to this day that is how they continually talk about intrusive attacks against Pakistan. It is no doubt we are in the wrong theatre and for the wrong purposes.
It is a shame your brother had to die by the hand of opportunistic Iranian terrorists who see Iraq as a testing ground for their military arsenal and elite forces. The reason they are there is simple. They know Bush is there for the oil and for bases and for 'Democracy' as a veil to accomplish this. Had the United States concentrated all its troop strength in Afghanistan and Pakistan from the beginning this would all be over by now. Terrorists strikes will continue to be a way for downtrodden nations to voice their agenda. Of course any victim of this despicable act will mobilize its military to suppress the violence. The latter is clearly what should have been done. There were and are plenty of documentaries that touch on the real reasons behind the war in Iraq, but I have no doubt after the Lebanon invasion by Israel that this is a Jewish Lobby/CIA controlled aggression in order to accomplish a middle eastern roadmap. This will only serve to pad Israel from future aggression but leave our country and its allies at risk for future hostility. It is time Israel stand up for itself and face the consequences of its racist aggression. No American soldier, or any soldier for that matter, should go into war with false premises. It is unfair to the commitment they made to protect our country from sworn enemies. There are no sworn enemies in Iraq, just oppressed and now liberated citizens who deserve their country back without any further experiments in 'Democracy'. Watch and see once we are out of Iraq the business end will remain and Bush can once and for all proclaim 'Mission Accomplished'.

No terrorist in Iraq or Al-Qaeda links? Let me inform you that local Iraqis did not kill your brother, assuming he does exist. By the way, they just don't pop up and decide to become terrorists unless there is something inside them pushing them to be terrorist. They want to be terrorists. Maybe the radical fringe of their religion or some other influence. The majority of Iraqis are not terrorists and all of the people of Iraq are living under the same conditions. A few choose terror but most do not. People consciously decide to do what they do. I'll agree with some of your statements although I do not know for sure what is true about how our Intel came to their conclusions. Remember, most of the world thought there was WMD, somewhere in Iraq.

OK
So, lets put this really into perspective and see what we are talking about.
1. your brother was in the service
2. all service people take an oath to defend the constitution from enemies foreign and domestic
3. service people go to war and can die
4. your brother knew this could happen and he still went
5. your brother found out that it was an unjust war
6. your brother found out everything was a lie
With all that being true - your brother still CHOSE to stay rather then fulfill his oath - WHY??
I understand your grief and how lonely you must feel that a loved one is gone - but he CHOSE to be there in harms way - he knew all the dangers and yet he stayed anyway - you are doing him a disservice when speaking out against his choice.
What you should be doing is going after Bush and gettting policy changes made - kind of like that Sheehan woman. That might make it meaningful rather then just sitting around complaning about it. I am sure there are plenty of people out there willing to take up that cause if only they had someone to lead them - perhaps you could be that leader.

I am sorry for you and your brother, however, for your information there were WMD in Iraq. While we were still talking to the UN and Europe, Saddam moved the weapons out of Iraq into Syria. The Israeli secret police confirmed this and so did an Iraqi general who was captured during the war.
We are now immersed in a quagmire and getting out is not an easy task. If we leave Iran will move in and take over Iraq. Furthermore, the Muslims will have a fifty day holiday if we pull out. You see, we knocked the great Americans out of Iraq and their army isn't worth a damn. I care for our troops and I really feel sorry for these guys and gals who are at it 24/7 but how can we get out without losing face and giving Iraq to Iran?

My condolences.
Question: how many died in vain at the Twin Towers? How many died in those airplanes? The Pentagon?
I know this does not bring back the dead, but let's face it: ever since the Muslim empires that advanced on Europe all those centuries ago, it has been a fight to the finish. They have the will, but not the means. Americans have the means, but with people such as yourself, do not have the will.
Sooner or later one or the other will be destroyed.
A simple fact.

As long as repubs/dems are in office, all soldiers will die in vain as any war is not meant to be won or lost but to continue indefinitely. The defense contractors and more important, the founders of the central banking system aka the Federal Reserve (Rockefellers, Rothschilds, Morgans) count on the continued instability of a war to keep the flow of tanks, weapons, ships, trucks coming. It should be noted here that Prescott Bush loaned the Nazis money before and during WW2 from his bank.

In a feeling all solders die in vane because of the fact they should combat basically because of the fact the leaders of international places crave capability and initiate wars to realize their ends so others ought to combat to shelter themselves. because of the fact we are residing in a democracy we predict of we will not have such leaders, and that conflict is compelled on us, yet an honest seem at historic past tells us it fairly is not aways actual. the only thank you to dodge greater of a similar is for persons to become skeptical of leaders that declare we ought to pass to conflict to shelter our u . s .. If everybody who now thinks the conflict replaced right into a foul concept had paid interest in 2002 we does no longer have invaded. there replaced into adequate data and professional opinion that Iraq replaced into no longer likely available then to develop doubts approximately what Bush pronounced. regrettably the cost paid for our failure to question the coverage is being paid by potential of our solders with their lives.

I'm sorry you lost your brother but who is blowing everything up over there if it's not the terrorist?
News sources from all over the world are sending stories home about the terrorist in Iraq, their bombings and all the people they are killing.
I don't think we should be there either but it's to late for that now.
