Well, the Right says CNN lies, and the Left says Fox lies so I have a couple questions:
1. I heard on BOTH last week that Basketball Player Bill Garnet was traded to the Celtics.
2. I heard On BOTH there was a Meteor Shower.
3. I heard on BOTH it was 98 degrees in my City.
If they are BOTH said it, what do I believe???
Or could it just be the "Entertainment Talk Shows" that are different?????

Fox = real news -- "the no spin zone"
CNN = Ted Turner's Socialist News Network, all slanted to the left, all the time

You're listing facts that have no reason to be manipulated by the right or the left. You have to do your own research into a topic that has larger ramifications, such as the reporting of casualties during a suicide bombing.
For instance, let's say that 40 people were killed in a suicide attack. Let's say you were there and witnessed this. You know that 30 were civilian Iraqis and that 10 were American soldiers. A particular liberal news service may report that "30 innocent civilians added to blood on Bush's hands." A particular conservative news service may report that "10 soldiers sacrifice themselves for the stability of Iraq." While the numbers in this case are factual, the slant with which the news is being delivered is quite biased.
Don't trust news handed to you on a platter. Let it serve as a platform from which you can do your own research and make your own judgments.
Please read the below link for something called "framing," which I think you may find useful.

The only show on either worth watching is Lou Dobbs. The MSM is all the same. They are corporate owned and put out what they want the masses to believe or buy. They should have to run captions at the bottom that state that they are info news like info commercials.Get your news from independent sources that don't have an interest in their reporting and don't have to answer to their corporate sponsors.

I listen to both and then split the difference. They each lean to a different side but I think that if you want the truth, then the best thing to do is to do your own investigating in to anything that may anger you or excite you.
I use the news just as a starting point for things that I want to find out about someone.

Fox shocked the nation by saying things on TV that you never heard before. Like abortion is morally wrong, illegals should be sent home and other conservative leaning views. Apparently the public appreciated hearing the other side for the first time
because FOX ratings are a lot higher, some shows get triple or more viewers than CNN.
And nobody watches MSNBC. Its all entertainment and fluff.

Each one puts their own spin on things, but you will find that CNN, NBC,ABC & CBS all lean towards the left, where Fox runs dead center. they have people from both sides on thier network, and it is for this reason that it is balanced. Just like the others...those who are conservatives, and those who are liberals have no problem telling us where they stand on the issues. This is why FOX is the #1 Cable news program.

CNN is more Left wingish and Fox is a definite RIGHT wing. but they say each other lies on like the coverage of the stories dealing with the government!
So if your a Democrat you watch more CNN and if your a Republican you will watch Fox more.

It's not really lies vs. truth. You just watch Fox News if you don't want to have to think for yourself. In my opinion, all the 24 hour news networks are a joke. I usually get my news from the internet, foreign news stations, or The Daily Show.

there is bias in all mass media.
In grade school we were assigned to review commercials and sort out Fact from Opinion. Its not always easy to do especially when you agree with whats being said.
