Of course not. Every hair that can be split, every nit that can be picked, every word that can be quibbled over WILL be.
However, this is not the exclusive domain of democrats; republicans are equally as guilty. But to really see these kinds of politics in action, one must look at Europe with multi-party systems and coalition governments to fully appreciate how nothing is ever good enough for an opposition party.
