We can allow the oppinion from economistis, political science expert and international relations expert. As I live my past life of 69 years, I saw and experienced wars in each year: The big Atomic Bombs, After World War Two wars, Korea, Beirut, Viet Nam, Communists - Capitalists, Irak, Iran, North Korea
seems to be a never ending war. Who profits from all wars?

I think I heard once that we can find about two weeks in recorded history where we could find no one at war in the known world. You ask "who profits from all wars?" It doesn't matter. If people don't profit from war....they will profit in peace. Some one will always profit and some will always do the hard work. The lust for power is why we have war. To rule over others and have them do your bidding. The money is just a side dish.

I live in hope that humans will one day be done with war. In my most idealistic moments I still have a hard time imagining it could happen in my lifetime. Who profits from wars? Arms dealers, of course. Anyone working in the military-industrial complex Eisenhower warned of. Anyone who would exert control over the citizens of their nation or any other through fear in order to establish a totalitarian regime. The rich and super rich who can count on less scrutiny and more freedom as long as there are other ostensibly more dangerous enemies to fight.

Some day in the distant future when the sun becomes a red giant and all life on earth has expired we can be sure there will no longer be war. If the human race blows itself up before then in one last war that would also see an aftermath void of people and therefore void of war.

To answer your first question, No.
Not as long as we keep using the same vocabulary but have our own different meanings.
Peace to the Western part of the world is accomplished by a different means than peace in the Middle Eastern and Far Eastern parts of the world.
To one, peace is basically, "Why can't we all just get along?"
To another, peace is, "Just let us exist."
To another, peace is, "Death to all infidels (infidels being all who do not believe like 'us.')."
And to another, peace is, "As long as I get to control every aspect of your life, I'll let you exist without trouble."

Just look at us, here in the U.S. We have government for the people by the people. Trouble is, the people are all different and have trouble coming to an agreement on what exactly they want. I am all for the U.S.; just saying, we have a lot of nerve talking about "peace" when we can't agree, ourselves, on what constitutes peace.

Nope. Sorry. I see war for a long time coming.

Human nature!
A great wish, but not possible.
I believe greed along with the other 6 deadly sins to be the root of all wars.
Eliminate those and you might just have a chance!
