Can u tel me why my frends r saying bad bout gandhi?

Question

After this movie : Legend of Bhagath singh, why my frends told me that Gandhi was not as good as Bhagath..

So wats the reason?

Can you guys tell me?

I was told once that to even mention Gandhi provoked some Sardarjis! They considered him a stuff less coward.
I asked him if they had seen the film Gandhi and the Jalinwala bag massacre. He got all exited. I then asked him who actually shot at the un armed men women and children. They were not white English solders. They were Sardargis and Gurkhas firing on Indians! I then asked him if he ever can see a situation where a Sardar can order an English solder to fire on other English women and children.
Faced with such dumb people Ghandhi had no choice but to adopt a revolutionary method to gain Independence. If not a great man (like some like to say) he certainly was a genius
What all the brawn and boastings of other men could not do , Gandhi did single handed.

Every human being have two sides, good and bad. Gandhiji was a human being. He was a great Leader who led a mass movement against the British Rule. But he was considered by many as an obstinate person. He had his own value of democracy in accepting majority decisions. When the majority view went against his will he resorted to other methods to bend the decision to his favour. When Netaji Subash Chandra Bose was elected as President by the Indian National Congress at Haripura in 1938, against the will of Gandhji, he used his methods and forced Nethaji to resign. The biggest fault was his acceptance of Partition of this great Country for immediate benefits. Later when he realised his mistake, it was too late. But none can doubt about his greatness. He was indeed the "Father of the Nation". Gandhiji believed in non-violence, but Shaheed Bhagath Singh believed in other method. We cannot compare the two persons, both were great patriots in their own merits.
We are celebrating 60th year of Independence 0n August, 15, 2007. On this memorable day let us salute all those great men and women who fought for it. Jai Hind.

M Gandhi himself did not pretend to be holier or more spiritual than others. In his own words he had said " I am not a saint trying to be a politician. I am a politician trying to bring saintliness in politics.
Even the name given to him (Mahatma) by Indians is very intelligent and appropriate. It means a great soul. This is not the same league as a Saint or other holy title. Lesser men than him have in other countries have been put on a much higher pedestal and glorified. I personally do not agree with him in all areas and even if he was not right inany respect, what right does any one have to demand prefaction from him? Who the hell has been perfact?

Many could not openly say that Gandhi was a Great Man during his lifetime!Now many more who have neither seen him nor tried to know him systematically, are parrotting what their ellders have said. One should see his subject in the proper setting.
