An organization in it's bid to save the world ( what arrogance) has said shops should stop selling patio heaters. I have never considered buying one but now I'm fired up (pardon the pun) to buy one. I'm sick of every Tom, Dick and Moron telling me how to live my life.

Hi Mr. Putnam,

I'm a college student up here in Gainesville. I voted for you, and am a registered republican.

I want you to know that many college-age voters care a lot about energy independence and the trade deficit.

I'm a business major, and Warren Buffet himself, points out that the trade deficit and our national debt are a huge problem.

Many college age republicans care about global warming, but not as vehomently as our democrat peers. I personally care about it, from a energy-independence standpoint and and a humankind sustainability concept.

Young voters are perhaps your smartest constituents, and are most privvy to internet resources, and we're most likely to realize that CNN, CBS, etc... = liberal and that FOX = conservative.

I have seen you speak in person at a farm bureau meeting and you have great leadership skills.

I believe you are very genuine about living a life of public service, and commend you for that. You have small-town values, which is what

to cut & run from the White House in 2009 & not have to take the fall for losing the Iraq war?

Unless the US military somehow gets 300,000 extra US troops on the ground in Iraq & can figure out a way to secure Iraq's borders there is no way they can win the war so I guess they are covering Bush's butt so he can sneak out the back door of the White House in 2009.

I am Greek so I'm proud but... It does take the mickey to find over 80 million people a year trying to get into Greece over the 32 mil that try to get into the US. I know us Greek men have the thickest and longest manhood, the longest time in bed and are amazingly handsome BUT it is getting a bit old now this pretending to be Greek lark. Some of us have it all and some don't. Get over it you Brits and Americans in particular, being Greek is a gift from God and a passport or residency cant compare with genetic superiority! Dont you think?

...in schools (this is a follow-on to the "brainwashing" Q below BTW) and you elect to educate them at home instead, do you risk them being excluded from higher education establishments. This is not a criticism of home education - far from it. Rather I am wondering if "The System" will try to place obstacles in their way. Has anyone who is already the product of home education run into any problems getting a uni place, that kind of thing? Looking mainly for UK responses please.

I'm in Singapore, my friend in Australia wants a particular moisturiser available here and she wants me to send it to her. I've checked with Australia customs and they are alright with it. However Singapore's postal service does not allow sending liquids of any type. Before I ask those big companies like UPS or DHL (their service are a bit expensive), any idea whether there are other couriers I can engaged?

Given that Australia and Isreal are probably the only nations that are not seriously annoyed with America's world policing. Do you think it is only a matter of time before the world as a whole like China, EU and Russia are glue together to close the doors on US trade and ability to move around? America doomed? I think if you get another Bush that will happen!

Most americans agree that it is unconstitutional to justify slavery, segregation, and the denial of the right to vote because of religion. why is it acceptable to deny gays the right to a happy marriage because of religion.

ps - im not gay.

Where in the debate was the question asking the candidates if they felt it was fair to use their faith to justify the denial of marriage to gays and lesbians? The main candidate to answer was John Edwards, who went on to speak about the separation of church and state.

The Democrats seem to be saying they want National Health Care,

But wasn't it Democratic Controlled Congress's who refused to allow national health care legislation to be voted on in,

1973,1978 and 1994

When they refused to allow the legislation out of Committee ?

Is this some kind of trick, where the Presidential Candiates say one think, knowing they will never have to actually provide national health care, because they know thier party in Congress will block it ?

Nixon, Carter and Clinton all proposed National Health Care, all three had Democratic Controlled Congress's.

So why don't we have national health care ???

Someone asked a question about how liberals resemble Middle Eastern men and it got me thinking about how much in common the Rethuglicans have with some Middle Eastern countries in respect to the rights they think women should have.

When Bush reinstated the Global Gag Rule, missions of women around the WORLD started DYING from it. All for even just MENTIONING abortion.

How is that any different from stoning women for doing something the men don't like?

Why do Rethuglican men (and some Democratic men too) think they should have ANY say over what women do with their own bodies? Where does that kind of arrogance come from? Our culture. And it's the same with the middle eastern men's culture. They grow up priviledged.

The Rethuglicans think women should DIE for even mentioning abortion. If you are a Republican, you support these needless deaths.

What do you think?

The simularities between the names is just uncanny. Could we ever trust him? Think about it.

He was raised a muslim, now he is a Christian (he says). He has lived in the middle east (home of Al Quida) and now he wants to be president of the USA.

I think there is something weird about it.
