I can now. Most of us are pig headed and have tunnel vision. While claiming to be fair, most talk show hosts are only interested in their own point of view. I hope this will change, but it probably won't.

As with all political parties, there are those individuals that CHOOSE not to entertain another point of view. I have been a conservative Republican from BIRTH ... kind of something I was BORN into ... and from personal experience, 37 years of personal experience, MOST of my fellow conservative Republicans are steadfast in their views BUT do take the time to at least "walk in the shoes" of the other view point. For example, my mother, father and I do not agree with the conservative position on abortion ... and a lot of fellow con/rep that we associate with feel the same, however we do get the "traitor to your party" comments from those that you mention will not entertain other points of view. I have seen this within the Democrat party as well. I know several liberals who do not agree with the party's position on social welfare and they too are viewed as traitors within their own party. It is sad, but it truly is a personal commentary on the individuals and not necessarily the party affiliation.

Here's one con that can but from the other points of view on this board it's tough sense the other points of view (in many cases) make no sense what so ever but then that is the liberal way. Thank God not all liberals are like the ones on this board.

I am generally conservative. So is my father, so is my husband. My mother and sister and brother-in-law are liberal. We have always had great political conversations that have been open minded and respectful.

Therefore, yes, I can see things from the other's point of view. That does not mean I will change my mind, but it does mean I respect the other person's right to their opinion.

I can see things from other p.o.v. But I can't understand why anyone would think the Liberal agenda is good for the country. We are on "The Road to Serfdom" and it isn't an easy road to turn back from. It seems the only solutions provided by the Liberals in Washington push everyone towards being mediocre in intelligence, success and individuality. No thanks.

Sure, I understand that liberals want to help people. But why can't liberals see that stealing from 90% of the population to help 10% is wrong? How does enslaving ourselves to the ultimate monopoly (government) help anyone? Everyone agrees monopolies are bad. How can liberals want to surrender their freedom to a monopoly with jails and guns?

I understand that liberals have good intentions (helping people). But the road to Hell is paved with good intentions. Being enslaved by a monopoly with guns (government) is clearly HELL. Government is the problem, not the solution.

You are Lableing that as only Conservatives?
This from a group who claims:
1. 9/11 was a Conspiracy.
2. I voted for it, before I voted against it, though I never voted against it.
3. Tax cuts were only for the rich.
4. Hillary can get rich off Haliburton, Exxon, and Walmart, but it is Cheney's fault.
5. Global Cooling.
6. Global Warming.
7. If life isn't going their way, it is Bush's Fault.
Need I go on?

Can you not say the same thing about Democrats?
When you ask this question, please think "fairness doctrine" the thing that will take the Conservative point of view away and is highly supported by Liberal Democrats.

"Can Conservative's see things from other point's of view?"

Yes. Which is exactly why I'm not a liberal. I grew up a liberal and sometime after I hit my early 20's I sat back and realized liberals aren't proactive - only reactive. Liberals squawk, complain and don't have affirmative suggestions for change.

They all babble about is having "a plan" and since nothing they say is ever "defined" - their "plan" never has "substance."
