Considering Saddam could not control the borders of Iraq with a million soldiers how could the Americans with half that amount. Same bunch were sneaking weapons across then as now, only difference we hear of their attacks now. OK some of the weapons were been brought in by the CIA and Mossad to be used on the Iraqi people. I do recall a few explosions mentioned in Baghdad before the War targeted at civilians just were not on Fox news are any news agency really. Who cared at all that some Sunni's were been killed until some Americans were on the ground caught up in the mess.

that is so not true.
We have to help the Reformation win, and to do that we have to fight the Inquisition, i.e., the Wahhabi movement, the Jihad, Al Qaeda and the Islamic terrorist movements. We have to do it somewhere. We can't do it everywhere at once. We have created a focal point for the battle at a time and place of our choosing . . . . . . in Iraq. Not in New York, not in London, or Paris or Berlin, but in Iraq, where we are doing two important things.
(1) We deposed Saddam Hussein. Whether Saddam Hussein was directly involved in the 9/11 terrorist attack or not, it is undisputed that Saddam has been actively supporting the terrorist movement for decades Saddam is a terrorist! Saddam is, or was, a weapon of mass destruction, responsible for the deaths of probably more than a 1,000,000 Iraqis and
2,000,000 Iranians.
(2) We created a battle, a confrontation, a flash point, with Islamic terrorism in Iraq. We have focused the battle. We are killing bad people, and the ones we get there we won't have to get here. We also have a good shot at creating a democratic, peaceful Iraq, which will be a catalyst for democratic change in the rest of the Middle East, and an outpost for a stabilizing American military presence in the Middle East for as long as needed.
we cant just leave because we are gettign a new president.

Military leaders want to accomplish the mission that is given to them. That is the basic driving force behind the military mind set. The civilians (politicians) are the ones with hidden and not so hidden agendas.
The commanders in the field will do their best to find the enemy, crush them and attempt to make the general conditions for the local population better.
The military has come a long way from the mass destruction practiced during the 20th century. The elite world public (yes us) just doesn't like having to think about the nasty things going on in the wilder parts of the world.

His father cut and run after Desert Storm I, so like father like son.
Actually, he didn't cut and run. He just started the war when he knew he had no chance of winning the following elections. Our president has a lot to learn from his father.
Our military leaders are only doing their duty. It is not their policy to get into the politicking business, they understand that there are enough buffoons in DC who do that already.

all you people who are saying "thats not true" what do you really know anyway? that theory actually sounds about right, our president is very crooked, and he is doing everything he can to save his butt! he should have been impeached if you ask me! thousands of troops have died because of him, and hes probably got a deal with the rag-heads and sneaking money under the table from the oil. duh! this man should not have been elected much less RE-elected, so for all you dummies who voted for him i hope you can sleep at night knowing your country is almost in ruins because of him and his greed, idiots.
but what do i know?
***i know that my soldier is over there fighting in this war and will not see his son until he is 7 or 8 mos old. thats ridiculous!

Why must the US loose the war in Iraq. Currently, it is the Liberals in congress that are advocating the Cut And Run Strategy. Regardless of the president why can this mission not be accomplished.
