I'm sure a lot of people wonder. I was watching an interview last night with Michael Moore (don't ask what show because I've forgotten) and someone said something about being a "conservative Republican", as if you can be anything but a conservative Republican. I mean, is it possible to be a liberal Republican? Just wondering. I know what it means to be Republican and Democrat and even Moderate, but people nowadays saying they're conservative Democrats or liberal Republicans confuses me to be honest. What's the difference?

Past Presidents as in, those that are no longer living.

Sure times have changed significantly since they were President but which do you think could adapt or take charge, and make this country respectable again?

Currently, you have to be born a U.S. citizen and be 35 years old to run for President. If someone is naturalized at 2 years old, why not allow that person to run for President at 37? If someone comes here at 20, why not allow that person to run for President at 55? This way, our nation will treat all citizens equally and not treat naturalized citizens as 2nd class citizens.

And no, I really don't care of Arnold can become president or not. Laws should not be passed for one person. They should be passed for everyone.

The earth has had many changes before we got here from Ice ages to Dinosaurs and so on. Doesn't it seem like delusions of grandeur that we so insignificant and small part of the Earths history really can make a difference.

with a huge knife comes around the corner, locks eyes with you, screams obscenities, praises Allah, raises his knife, & charges at you.
You respond by the posing the following questions:

Does the man look poor? Or oppressed?

Have I ever done anything to him that would inspire him to attack?

Could we run away?

What does my wife think?

Could I call the U.N and ask Nelson Mandela for help?

What does the law say about this situation?

Is it possible he'd be happy with just killing me?

Does he definitely want to kill me, or would he be content just to wound me?

If I were to grab his knees and hold on, could my family get away while he was stabbing me?

Should I call 9-1-1, Hillary, or France ?

We need to raise taxes, have a paint and weed day, and make this a happier, and make this a happier, healthier street that would discourage such behavior.

WHAT ARE YOU??????

I've heard many neocons defend Bush's illegal wiretapping program using the excuse that if you have nothing to hide, then there is no reason to be worried.

So what are Miers and Bolton (or Bush) worried about that they have put themselves in contempt of Congress?

It was just in an envelope regular mail (it was a gift card) and so I didn't get tracking.. The seller after like 4 days she revoked her payment .. AFTER I had already sent the item!! It's been about 12 days and now she's claiming she "didn't get the item." I'm so angry!! I filed reports on Ebay but all they say is "some action will be taken on her account that they can't tell me" and that MAYBE I can get my final value fee back.. which is like $4 or $5 !!! Do I have any freaking rights here?? Is there anything I can do without the actual Post Office tracking ??????????????? I was sending packages that day so I actually went into the post office but sent it regular mail in a envelope

If he didn't have a license to practice law, then he couldn't be Attorney General, right?

And after watching his dismal performance in front of the Senate Judiciary Committee (again) yesterday, it is apparent that he is lying or unfit to hold the job due to serious illness (eg: Alzheimers disease).

Either way, it sounds like grounds for disbarrment from the Texas Bar Association.

Why not let GM and Ford adapt to the market place instead of all this talk of gas mileage legislation and forcing companies to comply? Whatever happened to free markets? Same with Ethanol. Toyota will force them to comply eventually. Or they'll die and we will all blame George Bush.

which made me curious. What would all you lil' fundies do if you got your wish and made this a christian nation. What would your fundementalist theocracy do with all us heathen athiets agnostics and the others of different religions?
Tolerate us? For how long? How long would it take you to go back to your roots and start burning folks at the stake?
I know what your thinking... but the history of man is strewn with the corpses of those that said that could never happen here.

That is one of the most ignorant beliefs that I have ever heard.
Seriously, are the people who believe that really that stupid?
Have they never heard of people with disabilities, including learning deficits?
I think that is an arrogant, self-righteous attitude to believe that all poor people are simply lazy and that they should be hated and ignored.
Should ignorant people be tortured with a taser up their you-know-what until they get a clue?

The North American Union (NAU) is the creation of a NAFTA Superhighway including Canada, Mexico, and the USA. The NAU has not been created yet but the government wants to implement it which will get rid of the USA, Mexico, and Canda and make it into one country much like the European Union. The will establish only one currency the "Amero" much like the "Euro." You can research this topic more at some other websites but I was just curious what everyone else thought.

High ranking Government officials get free healthcare for themselves and their families...FOR LIFE !

So when they debate about a national healthcare system...they are really only talking about you and me.

Fact of the matter.... the US does not have the best healthcare system in the world... i'm not talking about cost..i'm talking about quality. We rank 37th according to WHO. Most of the countries that beat us, have national healthcare.

Also, if you shy away from the idea, because you don't want to pay for immigrants or the uninsured's healthcare... you should know that you already do pay for it through your taxes and your inflated insurance premiums. When you sick you have to go to the hospital regardless of whether or not you have insurance....the hospital incurs cost because they get stiffed by insurance companies and the uninsured...and that cost get's passed on to other insurance carrier's and the federal government. This is why one tylenol costs $50 at the hospital.

To anticipate some answers-
"The government can't handle it "-- it's already handling medicare, and dr.s prefer dealing with medicare
"Medicare is going bankrupt" -- because the pool of participants is only the most needy. If you include all the healthy people then the costs reduce.
"Government shouldn't provide healthcare." -- Do you feel the same way about fire and police?

Global warming advocates say that the icebergs will melt, the oceans will rise, and NYC and California will be underwater, and we will have beaches in Ohio.

So what's the problem? Why is this a bad thing?
