with a huge knife comes around the corner, locks eyes with you, screams obscenities, praises Allah, raises his knife, & charges at you.
You respond by the posing the following questions:

Does the man look poor? Or oppressed?

Have I ever done anything to him that would inspire him to attack?

Could we run away?

What does my wife think?

Could I call the U.N and ask Nelson Mandela for help?

What does the law say about this situation?

Is it possible he'd be happy with just killing me?

Does he definitely want to kill me, or would he be content just to wound me?

If I were to grab his knees and hold on, could my family get away while he was stabbing me?

Should I call 9-1-1, Hillary, or France ?

We need to raise taxes, have a paint and weed day, and make this a happier, and make this a happier, healthier street that would discourage such behavior.

I'm still going to put in my 2 cents' worth of a serious answer though, ok? Not so much for you, because I know that you "get it", as much as it's for the people who don't "get it".

I would never be in that position in the first place.
I did not walk alone with my children on deserted streets when they were small unless I had some kind of protection. Growing up in NY helped me to become vigilant of potential danger.

However, anything can happen at any time, anywhere. The scenario you posted could happen on a crowded street as well. There are a lot of nut cases walking the streets of New York City.

Having a permit to carry a concealed weapon always helps though. I am grateful that self defense is still legal in this country.

Bottom line: kill the ****** ******.

Hell none of ur answers fit with what I would be thinking since ive been in a situation like this. Except he wasnt islam. I was wondering If I should try to look for a weapon or disarm him. If he has a gun hidden some were or others to back him up. I also wonder if I should use a punch or a kick to knock him back and what kind of a kick and punch would be fast enough to reach him and not got wounded. My friend the situation does not change just because the person is different.
