In his farewell address, Dwight D. Eisenhower warned of the dangers of a military industrial complex:

"In the councils of government, we must guard against the acquisition of unwarranted influence, whether sought or unsought, by the militaryindustrial complex. The potential for the disastrous rise of misplaced power exists and will persist.

We must never let the weight of this combination endanger our liberties or democratic processes. We should take nothing for granted. Only an alert and knowledgeable citizenry can compel the proper meshing of the huge industrial and military machinery of defense with our peaceful methods and goals, so that security and liberty may prosper together."

Can you speak to this comment in relation to today?
How "alert and knowledgeable" is our citizenry?

The BBC documentary keeps getting deleted from youtube, but it's on the vast internet, beyond Al's control now

it shows that scientists whose names were prostituted as supporting the theory want their names removed in association with it, and they not only won't remove their names some have been threatened

http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=2332531355859226455&q=global+warming+swindle

copy it before Al gets it gone again

tried posting this on ABCnews blog but the lieberal ABC monitors who unquestioningly support Al's socialist garbage won't allow the truth out

This is a ridiculous waste of time because the man has done nothing wrong. Their utter hatred for him is driving them mad. There are more critical things that they should be worring about like funding our troops with a bill not full of tax payers money for pork barrel spending!!

This was the liberal mantra on keeping a ruthless brutal dictator in power. Please note that Saddam Hussein was paying the families of Palestinian suicide bombers. Mass graves have been found in Iraq and Saddam was a terrorist.

Agree or disagree with the question, that's your option. But I want to know if there is any way to undo the damage the current administration has done to our US Constitution that was designed to provide us freedom from tyranny forever.

In the myspace generation which we have now, do yuo honestly know a lot of 18 year olds who you would trust with deciding the fat of the country for 4 years at a time? Honestly, not that a LOT of 18 year olds do vote but especially in times like this where they can so easly be swayed by their only information souce (THE LIBERAL MEDIA AND THE INTERNET) to vote for something which if you look deeper may be the wrong choice? I mean a lot fo 18 year olds havn't eevn graduated high school yet and yet they can vote?

I know I know, old enough to die in a war old enough to vote and I agree if your in the armed forces that you should be allowed to vote because you are more in tune with what the world is really about. But honestly at least in my town (and i'm only 21) I know a lot of 18 year olds and I wouldnt trust any of them to vote for the right thing, instead I would suspect they would vote for whats popular or what the TV tells them to.

Does anyone agree with this?

I think we may have been down graded to "highly influential". The dollar is in decline, the economy is barely afloat and our military can no longer say they have the best readiness rate in the world. Sciences are being over taken by India, Japan, China, PAKISTAN. We really don’t have much to brag about even our mighty Boxers and Basketball players are being trumped by Russians.

So is the US run over, will we go the way of Russia?

Are these people blind, deaf, and dumb? Facts are being shared by experts and liberals want to shove it off as "racism". I think racism is a "comfortable" issue for these white liberals and they morph every other problem into that category so they can reuse the same posters and save a tree.

The Democrats will give all of our money to other countries, and turn sitting at home, watching judge judy, and making babies into a profit center. The Republicans will only take care of the super rich, go to war on any excuse, and teach our children that Adam and Eve rode dinosaurs to church. If you had to pick between the two, which would you pick, and why?

We're already required to show a Social Security card to get a job. All that other stuff would be just for show. The government already owns us, they don't need to rub it in.

hitler had everyone rounded up and shot who he didn't need after he came to full power. The libs ,communists ,socialists, gave him the power to rise.We keep talking of deaths due to the war in iraq but what about WWII and the gulag where millions of people were butchered?Since Bush is trying to spread democracy through the middle east we now know why libs hate bush.As per the book i stated in my last question, the enemy of liberalism IS democracy...I contend that libs of today do not know who they follow. You should know this by the policies they make.i.e.abortion is granted to prevent the cost being covered by the state.High taxes....the state knows better what to do with your money.etc.etc.I ask you to read this informative book. All idiolagies use wedge issues to confuse the masses.Democrats are confused..The vote count that turned italy into a fascist state is as follows;libs,dems-310,radicals-73,refomists-27,catholics-29,repubs-17,socialists-52....read the facts ...

For those of you who think that the currently-reported missteps (misdeeds, if you like) of the Bush Administration are a big deal I say: Try, try real hard children, and remember back to the good ol' days of the Clinton Administration when REAL scandals were breaking regularly and we were treated to the truly amazing spectacle of Billy and Hillary lying their way through each of them and, excepting for Monica's dress, pretty much getting away with it, too. Earth to worriers and Bush-haters: The Bush Administration is made up of pikers - the real deal left office in January of 2000.

And now, of course, Hillary wants back in to the White House. I'd like to say to her: Make a convincing case for how the Rose Law Firm Billing records showed up in your living quarters and then, maybe, just maybe, you'll be able to justify the presently laughable idea that you should ever be allowed back into the White House without security guards observing your every move.

Also during a Guardian trial for the custody of his wife The Democrat Judge said Verbal and physical abuse was ok since he was from the OLD SCHOOL. My Question is Why is this acceptible to the Democrat party? I only ask this due to the fact that. My wife is a Republican and her political preference was brought out in court by her father and the Judge had rude comments about her politics. This had nothing to do with the reason for being there.
