It was Republican President and 5-Star Army General Dwight Eisenhower who first warned us about the growth of what he termed the "military-industrial complex" His words were prophetic, of course. The form of your question indicates a profound ignorance of history, economics and political reality. I assume you were joking about the Boogeyman, but with the rest of your question it's hard to be sure. Corporations (which include Oil Companies, by the way - but not Boogeymen, in case you were wondering) are not evil - but the results of their actions often are. Just ask the people of Nigeria about Shell Oil, just for one example. Republicans (and Democrats) are not evil, either. But the current US regime is quite clearly, beyond any doubt (except in the purblind, reality-challenged imaginations of the true believers) committed to a path that damages the country and the world, while benefitting the mega rich and the mega-corporations. All the economic data show the same thing: the Bush regime is a complete disaster. Let's not even get started on the lies that got the US into Iraq.
I don't drive a Volvo, wear sweaters or Birkenstocks or wring my hands. I do occasionally munch raw vegetables. Unlike you, I do take the time to find out what I'm talking about before making stupid pronouncements.

Democratic conceit can not only lead to mob rule (a misfortune our founders were dedicated to avoiding), but the conceit of freedom can also readily lead to a far more absurd, far more difficult to fix, far more dangerous problem: self-enslavement.
Al Gore campaign after the 2000 presidential election, when they were hand counting votes in 3 highly Democratic counties, while at the same time trying to disqualify military votes. In effect they were trying to change the rules of the election after the election had taken place, which violated federal election law. A liberal Florida Supreme Court ruled in the favor of the Gore Campaign until the U.S. Supreme Court put a stop to it. To this very day, liberals actually believe George Bush stole the election.
Remember when Hillary Clinton went on the Today Show and responded to the allegation of an affair between her husband (President Clinton) and an intern (Monica Lewinsky) as untrue and blamed it on a Right Wing Conspiracy? Over the past ten years Tom Daschle, Nancy Pelosi, Bill Clinton, Hillary Clinton, Al Gore, Mario Cuomo, Richard Gephardt and Jesse Jackson have been the loudest and most influential voices in the Democratic party. Are any of these people Moderates? Also please note, there is a liberal bias in the media. You might make the argument that there is a vast left wing conspiracy.
It has been well documented that when it comes to voting for military funding- liberals would much rather spend money on social programs. First you must understand their rational. Approximately 10% of the population in the United States is poor, which is about 30 million Americans. There are approximately one million Americans serving in the military. If only 1 in 5 of the poor vote, that equals about six million votes as compared to one million votes from the military. There are two relevant questions here. What percent of the poor vote Republican? How close was the 2000 Presidential Election? This leads directly to the answer of why would liberals rather appropriate money to social programs than to the defense of our country. Please note, the defense of our country is a primary, if not the primary responsibility of our government. If we don't protect the country, we may not have a country or our freedom.

I don't believe that all corporations are "evil" or that all republicans are evil.
However the current administration is corrupt.
If have read a newspaper in the past 100 years years you would know that most corporations are amoral at best and are fairly large number break the law and swindle their shareholders. Many top corporate executives are in cahoots with corporate boards and get huge bonuses even when the companies don't do well under their leadership.
Top executive pay has skyrocketed over the last thirty years while pay for most workers has stayed flat. You are naive if you think corporations and republicans are always a force for good in our society.
Your stereotype of "liberals" is equivalent to the steretypiong of Republicans and corporations you are complaining about.

Hell yes I belive in Evil Corporations and Evil Oil companies. As any one knows absolute power corrupts. So there for these companies are clearly corrupt and evil. If I was head of one of the companies I know I would be, I wouldn't really mind starting wars for oil or bribing politicans to get what I want why would I? I would have no one to answer to but my self and I know my self loves to live like a king. I would do anything or kill any one just to keep my life style like that.

hey genius, President FDR(D) and LBJ(D) are in charge for Social risk-free practices, Medicare, and medicaid. I initially spoke back this question to set you quickly on your first anti-capitalist question, yet you do no longer even comprehend who's in charge for the disaster courses you talk of. except of course you have been utilising sarcasm then on no account suggestions.
