You are thinking too short term, yes bringing them home right now may reduce casualties for now but over the enxt 5 years we will end up w/ more casualties once noe of the warring factions rises to power and takes sadam's seat. Also it is not a lost cause, and as an active member of the army field artillery I can tell you that this is not a lost cause, my felow army, marine, navy, and air force members would for the most part agree. Not that your not entitled to your opinion, but you are making decisions thuosands of miles away on a different continent, we are actually the ones seeing it first hand so please let the generals make the decisions.

Shelly I must agree with you they were elected into office legitimately and on teh basis that they would try tog et us out of the war. I cannot speak for the fact that a lot of America wants us out.
My concern is that I think they want us our for emotional reasons and not for strategic reasons. A lot fo people believe common lies like tehre were no WMD's or that Iraq was not a threat. Some even believe there are no terrorists. A lot of people want thier family home and I understand that, but we must make this sacrafice today so that we may live in peace tomorrow. Honestly give us another year and if it doesnt work (which it will) than elect Hilary and we will be out immediately.

i imagine Kentucky will bypass to Rand Paul. shame. Illinois is in all probability Republican yet Democrats have a probability in the others you record. also, Wisconsin would carry (Feingold is fantastically established) and so ought to Colorado (Bennet isn't doing that much better functional yet greenback has made some undesirable gaffes). we will see.
