I agree with many before me, Lincoln, though I will not say is necessarily number 1, is one of our top presidents; Bush should not even be considered on a list of them. His presidency has been wrought with disaster and catastrophe, complete incompetence, warmongering and massive debts, just one bad decision after another. He takes responsibility for near to nothing and has made the country look worse to allies and enemies alike, than anyone else. His antagonistic, self righteous foreign policy is easily the worst this nation has seen. I really don't know how he manages the 36% support he's got, or whatever it is now. We have impeached presidents in the past for much more trivial things than the massive hole his administration has dug us into. It just doesn't make sense.

Excuse my ranting if anyone is offended, but it had to be said.

Lincoln has many memorials and his face is in Mt. Rushmore. It takes many years later to decide how great the president is afterwards. The Argument usually is with FDR, Reagan, Clinton for their economic leaderships. Bush's presidency will be one of the most important times in US history. So in maybe 20 years , historians will decide.

I like Bush but I would not list him above Lincoln. There have been many more great presidents. Then him.

he's merely the latest gem in the surprising pagaent of wonderful Republican presidents. What a legacy: Warren Harding, Herbert Hoover, Richard Nixon, Ronald Ray-gun, and now George B. those pathetic Democrats like Woodrow Wilson, Franklin Roosevelt, Harry Truman, JFK, etc. merely won't be able to evaluate. i think of historical past will rank George B suitable up there on the perfect with Genghis ok., Napoleon B and Adolph H.

I firmly believe that Abraham Lincoln should be rated as number one. I believe that Bush will be rated as the most unpopular President since the U.S. began!

Don't look for Dubya's image on the face of Mt. Rushmore anytime within the next 10,000 years. After he leaves office, he'll be lucky to have his photo put on the back of a box of cereal. Historians will make an object lesson of him for would-be presidents as the type not to emulate. Mr. Bush will go down in history as probably the worst U.S. president ever.

Bush is good in some ways, but definitely not the best. Lincoln was the best.

Hope you're wearing your asbestos underwear, Leroy!

I think Thomas Jefferson may ultimately turn out to be history's choice for #1 Best All-time American President. Somebody in YA said that today is Thomas Jefferson Day. I didn't know he had one but it's appropriate.

W is so far behind he ain't even in the race.
