Hinduatan Times carried a report on the 20th/21st of March which was at once deplorable and extremely disturbing.

The world ought to know so that it doesn't happen again and the ordinary citizens can feel more secure for their lives and livlihood.

can you be charged more than once for assault occ actual bodily harm?
i am researching for a case, where the victim was swept away by the current and, although he was pulled from the river, his breathing had stopped. His breathing was restarted by mouth-to-mouth resuscitation, and the end result was that he suffered permanent brain damage.
So would this amount to 2 charges of assault occ actual bodily harm; one for the breathing having stopped, and one for the brain damage.
or would it just be one overall charge of assault occ abh???

As we know muslims claim Islam to be a religion of peace.
Can any one of these moderate Muslims explain why the whole country of Iran is behind its nuclear program?
Please bear in mind that Iran has not even started building its nuclear power plant but seems to need huge amounts of enriched fuel.
Oh and the little thing about the leader saying Israel should be wiped off the face off the earth.
What we observe is an Islamic country bent on violence.
It does not seem valid to me to claim Isl;am is a religion of peace where everywhere we look all evidence shows the opposite.

with rising interest rates -Tax increases(to pay for war) - exported jobs - small business opportunities closing - enormous inflationary pressure arriving soon (normal after any war ) -energy price hikes (also adds to inflationary pressure)-decomposing infrastructure - lousy public schools - high health care costs - credit card companies acting like loan sharks instead of banks -banks acting like credit card companies - employers not giving raises to keep up with cost of living - huge federal govt run like a charity to special interests? you tell me where are we headed ?

I am a US citizen, retired and living in Europe on a reduced income....In May of 2006, I received a letter informing me that my monthly benefit was being reduced by almost $300......no explanation accompanied this notice!......I filled out the required form for a reconsideration of this reduction and to date have received no answer......I have been in contact with the Rome branch of the SSA for assistance, but their records and inquiries to Baltimore show no reason for the reduction........they also have sent 2 or 3 postal mailings with no response......this week after sending an e-mail to Baltimore, they received a one line reply which completely avoided any explanation of the reduction.....over the past few years, I have received almost 10 letters from the SSA displaying disturbing inconsistencies in their professionalism and accuracy. I am at the point where I am considering getting legal assistance, but I can't afford a lawyer. How do I receive a response from these people?

At issue; global warming. We are being told it's caused by CO2. This is simply untrue. Atmospheric CO2 is a result, not a cause, of a warmer climate.Ice cores tell us that in the past earth has had 10-20 times as much carbon dioxide and still gone into a cooling trend. Did the ice ages end because mammoths drove SUVs? The US at several times was tropical and had vast inland seas.BEFORE PEOPLE! One strong possibility is deforestation (rainforests). Think about how much cooler the woods are on a summer day versus a parking lot. Also remember trees remove CO2. If it takes 10 trees 1 day to remove X CO2, how long for 1 tree?Rainforests provide 25 % of the earths oxygen. Forests are being slashed and burned at incomprehensible rates.(110 acres per minute) Imagine 10 Montanas being scorched to dirt EACH YEAR.Not to mention animals and plants, etc. Yet we are being told it's our CO2 that is causing global warming . Who's making the money? Why is the deforestation not in the headlines? more--->

It is clearly the obsession. He won't listen to the others.

It is as if Bush has like a personal revenge on Iraq.

Why is he so obsessed in Iraq war? Have Iraqis done something bad to him and made him mad?

I'm neither Republican nor Democratic. I'd call myself "independent" but that seems to be coming close to being an actual political group.
I do tend more toward Democratic ideals than Republican but not too strongly.
I was invited by a client to a party to view the Out Foxed video when first released. I thought it to be every bit as biased and the editors every bit as manipulative in how they showed Fox. What I came away with from that "documentary" is that die-hard democrats are every bit as narrow-minded as and choose to see and hear only what they want to see and hear every bit as much as the die-hard Republicans.
I say this in hopes that I can express my bias and lack thereof reliably.
Comedy Central has John Stewart and Stephen Colbert. They're both hysterical and thought provoking even when they blast Democrats.
Are there similar Republican comedians? Could Republicans handle a satire of the Democratic party ala The Colbert Report even if it slung some shots at Republicans?

The land of Canaan should be split in half. The northern half would be Palestine and the southern half Israel.

Both side would be disarmed, by force if necessary.

In the middle occupying Jerusalem would be the new U.N. HQ with a corridor that divides these lands from the Mediterranean to the Red Sea.

Stationed there should be 300,000 man multi-national Rapid Reaction Force capable of delivering a serious smack down to ANYONE in the region that acts out of line.

This new corridor could be a new World Heritage Site, accessible to everyone in the world.

US interferes in the politics of nearly every country around the globe. When it suits its interests it backs military regimes, like in so many countries in South America, in coups to take control and even suppress democracy. At the same time, it uses financial, political and military clout to align nations to its thinking. When it is doing so, it is in the interest of all nations to ensure that the Govt (Prez) and Elected representatives of Congress should be the ones that they want elected and ones who would support policies favoring these nations. Every nation has its own vested interest and US could be the handy tool, organization and weapon to implement those interests. What do you guys think?
