They were both born into prominent families.
They both received their Tertiary education in the U.K.
He studied law, against his will.
She studied Philosophy, politics and economics by desire.

He went to South Africa as a qualified lawyer and experienced unreasonable discrimination based on his 'color' and race.

She traveled to New York after her BA for further studies and was well received. She worked in the U.N which must have given her a degree of prominence and acceptance.

Both of them seem to have been drawn into politics by circumstance rather than motivated to seek it.

She chose to enter Politics using traditional methods and affiliations.

Gandhi acted alone but was followed by many. He spoke and reacted to injustice as he found it, perhaps spontaneously.

She lived out of her country for a long period, married a foreigner, and has children with foreign citizenship.

Gandhi was married to India and it's people.

(Note: I'm wrong about this. Gandhi was married and had five sons. I found this on Wikipedia. None of the books I've read mentioned this although one son worked closely with him he seemed to be alone. He also lived 'out of country' for a long period helping Indian fights in South Africa.)

She has been in detention far longer than he experienced. He used fasting and public opinion as an effective weapon.

Gandhi had a knack for drawing international attention to which his Nemesis, had to respond.

She has some publicity but her opponents are unfazed.

She has public and fashionable appeal as a woman with elegance and beauty.

Gandhi dressed as minimally as possible. His image was purely in his achievements.

sure i might if i presumed it would do any solid - Burma's militia rulers are evil in battling their human beings from having their elected leaders. i'm shocked that extra civilized international places have not intervened in a improved thank you to lead them to see experience.
