How much extra fuel does a car need to haul a 230 lb person vs. a 170 lb person? Should America adopt weight standards, and then charge you an extra tax if you exceed your weight limit? We could use the extra revenue to fight Global Warming.

I know most of you will avoid answering these SIMPLE questions, but I'll ask anyways. I am well aware that humans CONTRIBUTE to greenhouse gases, but I want to know if you agree or disagree to the following:

1. Do you agree that the vast majority of greenhouse gases are caused by volcanic activity and the sun?

2. Do you agree that methane gases from farm animals contribute to more greenhouse gases than all of transportation combined (as the independent U.N. study shows)?

3. Do you agree that the earth has been warming since before humans enhabited it (hence, the ice ages are over)?

4. What percentage of greenhouse gases do YOU THINK are caused by humans?

5. Do you think Al Gore is politically, and/or financially motivated in his cause (profits to the 100 million dollar documentary and his "salary"?

-----

explanations are welcome, but PLEASE answer the questions. They are simple, and straightforward, and will help you be taken more seriously.

As chairman of the IPCC, Watson was responsible for propagating the myth that only 1 or 2 percent of scientists did not believe humans were responsible for global warming. Watson, of course, overlooked at least 17,000 scientists who signed a petition cautioning against global warming alarmism – a petition compiled with the assistance of former National Academy of Sciences (NAS) president Dr. Frederick Seitz.

"The global warming hypothesis has failed every relevant experimental test. It lives on only in the dreams of anti-technologists and population reduction advocates. The United States is very close to adopting an international agreement that would ration the use of energy and of technologies that depend upon coal, oil, and natural gas and some other organic compounds"

the rich and powerful from walking all over everyone.
we just sit back and watch the celebrities and politicians keep

Really, I'm weakening I want to give her the benefit-of-the-doubt. I can't come up with one reason she should be allowed to run this country. In fact, I find the thought a little scary.

Recently, we have had McCain, Hillary, and now Obama.

I don't like it!

I am more than a firm believer that practically all elected people in Congress are the most dishonest and disingenuois people that we have in this country.

They stir the pot with inuendoes and are nothing more than troublemakers.

The community (?) stated that they don't endorse political candidates. That's good. I just wish (I don't believe in wishing) that they would not allow politicians on this site.

Might as well, I mean Bush has pretty much cemented his place in United States president as the worst president to ever serve. Why not go out with a bang and have our troops occupy Canada?

doesnt this just show how lame, controlling, and "push it in your face" the yahoo and hillary crowd is...???? they cant make it on the issues, so i guess they figure they will saturate every market and corner of american life trying to get her elected...not a good sign when you have to resort to financially pushing yourself upon the public at every opportunity...it shows a serious lack of integrity and also a very real sense of insecurity on hillary and her campaign ......yahoo should remain nuetral...of course we know they arent, but they should at least try and give the impression they are trying to foster political debate instead of political brainwashing....

I believe that when half of us don't bother to vote, it's obvious who it is that really isn't filling their role in this representative Democracy. Just think what it would do to the politicians if 90% of us took enough interest in what they do to get up and vote. I think it would scare the hell out of them and we would begin to see a government that is much more responsive to the wants and needs of the people.
I'm not saying that I'm prepared to commit to voting for Barrack Obama. But I have been very impressed so far.
I like to see a politician that apparently isn't afraid to attempt to get more people involved in the political process.

How come Congress does not protect the rest of the people of the United States the same way that they are protecting these attorneys who were fired for not doing their jobs?

Congress is spending millions on this firing issue. Why can't Congress work to protect jobs for the rest of the people in the United States the same way?

It is fact the terrorists held children captive in a car that detonated as a bomb earlier yet we saw minimal press nor is there the outrage that there is any time the press warrants more negative press towards President Bush. Yet all you saw was a quick blurb and nothing on the mainstream media. Why? Is it because it would help justify the level of evil the terrorists are willing to stoop to just to accomplish their goals?

I mean, they key elements of Christianity, like 'turn the other cheek' and 'thou shalt not kill' are hardly compatable with Republican policies on the death penalty, invasions in the middle east, and support for the gun/arms lobbies, right?

Someone please explain.
