Are they enjoying the "rebirth of the counter culture movement?" It seems lots of them seem to relish in the resurgence of the 60's culture. Please take showers though...don't bring that little relic back....Please?

As a Marine I have no problem with people being against war, although most "people" have no idea what war really is. I do have a HUGE problem with people not supporting our troops.
By the way saying "bring them home" is not support inspite of what you hippies might believe.

The burning of a soldier in effigy in Portland by an "anti-war" protest is an exapmle of what has happened in this country. And it is a terrible insight to our nation's future.

If you want mor bra-burning, flag-burning, anti-solider, communists vote Hillary.

Do I think the Liberals are enjoying it.....Damn right! and it's a cancer that must be cut out.

I don't think anti-war is a counterculture for those of us in the developed world, it is pro-war that seems to be the counterculture.

I say this because we've had more peace than war, so engaging in war is foreign to us, enjoying peace is natural.

The 60s I think was just especially prominent because people had just gone through one war, WW2, and the people that had grown through that were now faced with another war, the Vietnam war. However I'm sure the same thing would've come around in the 1920s after WW1. It also had to do with media exposure, it was more prominent during the Vietnam war than the previous ones, and that can wear on our conscience.

As for whether it has anything to do with Liberals, I wouldn't know, but I would hope that Conservatives enjoy this embrace of peace as well, because if not, then we surely have a grave problem.

the worries concerning to the ecosystem are real yet maximum of what's achieved interior the call of the ecosystem has not something to do with preserving the ecosystem. we've the technologies to have low priced and risk-free power from Thorium that could easily decrease our nuclear wastes and we ought to apply that power to inexpensively make gas and diesel from CO2 and H2O without changing a single vehicle and a large style of the infrastructure already exists yet there is extra income in merchandising new autos, in fossil gasoline and in good middle uranium gasoline which could in basic terms be offered from the producer of the nuclear plant. Recycling containers do not recycle, they seem to be a value provider the place the income is from amassing the month-to-month value, the recyclables are offered if there's a industry in any different case it is going to a landfill and there is not a industry because of the fact each physique needs a recycling bin. Carbon taxes establishes a fashion of proscribing emissions whether it does so via permitting companies to proceed polluting because it purely will become an financial sort and our financial fashions enable for endless growth ( of direction that too will might desire to alter ultimately ). As to you're nevertheless ingesting 2.8 Earth's properly worth of materials, understand that for the duration of basic terms 5% of the inhabitants can stay as you do, maximum human beings don't have an aparment, don't have a bike or moped and have under no circumstances flown or traveled previous strolling distance. purely as you're unwilling to stay on the wide-unfold existence-style of human beings on earth, the likes of Gore, Huffington, Soros and Gates are not going to supply up their priviledges anymore than you're giving up your soft abode, bike and moped. you are the Gore's, Huffinton, Soros and Gates to ninety 5% of the inhabitants. Can our environmental problems be addressed, technically sure and quite fairly yet will it; no, that is going to take a substantial exchange in priorities to realize this and no volume of green merchandising is going to alter that. It isn't till the existence-style of the main prosperous countries are heavily affected till now important exchange will happen, there'll might desire to be a large style of suffering till now something is properly achieved.

No, we're not enjoying the anti-war movement because all of our pleas for the last 8 years have pretty much fallen on deaf ears. We HAD a reason as to why there shouldn't be a war! And we're still not heard 4,00 lives later!

Now I have a question: Why do conservatives behave like automotons and believe EVERYTHING Bush says?! I swear, if the Shrub told you the sky was burnt sienna, you'd believe him! You guys treat this president as if he were Jesus Christ himself walking the Earth.

I think we enjoy more the fact that the Republicans are finally being held accountable for their recent actions. They've had a free reign for the past several years, and have a hard time dealing with that.

The normal Conservative response to ANY disagreement?Go for the emotional keywords-Traitors! Anti-Americans! Terrorist-Lovers!

They're like spoiled brats.

While it may give them a chance to relive their youth, I think liberals are mostly frustrated by the lack of support the anti-war movement has in the general public. Here is a clue for those libs scratching their heads over this. While I think the war has been badly executed and many mistakes have been made, there will never be a day in my life that I will stand with anyone who equates any US president with Hitler, or claimes the US is a terrorist state, or believes in the idiocy war for oil, or that capitalism is bad. Including illegal immigrant supports in your protests also seems counter productive.

Do we enjopy our people being sent to be killed in a war that was wrong from the out set. No! My best friends son was killed and beleive me we did not enjoy it. Only a hard hearted person would think so. Open your soul and become a better person. Oh by the way I did take showers when I was a hippie.

Yah, they are enjoying their 15 minutes of fame. It will be over soon like always.

Lol the first guy says "the neocons are enjoying sending our troops to a war where soldiers are killed" . Did he not think soldiers are killed in wars? This war has had such a small number of casualties it is a new feat in warfare history!

For now they are, but when the time comes for a reality check, they'll quickly realize the extent of the damage they caused as they're placed on their trembling knees facing east while 3 or 4 genocidal Islamo fascists cut their throats with a rusty dull bowie knife while chanting Allah Akbar...

The anti-war movement--not especially. It's sad that its necessary.

But the fact that AMERICANS are starting to speak out against those who would silence --or belittle them, as you do--is cause for rejoicing.
