How much extra fuel does a car need to haul a 230 lb person vs. a 170 lb person? Should America adopt weight standards, and then charge you an extra tax if you exceed your weight limit? We could use the extra revenue to fight Global Warming.

We should charge three taxes:

1) BEACH TAX. If you are fat, and insist on removing your shirt at the beach, you are causing visual pollution, and should be heavily taxed. (ha, ha .... double entendre)

2) FASHION TAX. Fat people should pay a tax for taking good clothes, and stuffing themselves into them like a sausage into a casing. (and why do I always have to sit next to them on airplanes?)

3) INTERNATIONAL IMAGE TAX. I am so tired of going overseas, and be regaled with stories, from Bangkok to Slovakia, about how fat Americans are. Americans already have the image of being stupid, but fat and stupid is really too much to endure. Fat people: stay home. We don't want to see you in Paris, Prague, or anywhere else. If you must travel, wear a Canadian t-shirt. thank you.

I think the fuel costs for cars are balanced out by the energy saved in reduced heating bills. Overweight people have more insulation, so they don't need as much heat in the winter.

I think the definition of obesity is "conserving too much energy" :D And, I'd rather enforce a B.O. tax on the grossly obese. Face it, have you ever been around someone who weighed 400lbs and smelled great? Not me.

Yes. We in the US worship 16 year old models who weigh 89lbs and look like they are 10.
