Recently, we have had McCain, Hillary, and now Obama.

I don't like it!

I am more than a firm believer that practically all elected people in Congress are the most dishonest and disingenuois people that we have in this country.

They stir the pot with inuendoes and are nothing more than troublemakers.

The community (?) stated that they don't endorse political candidates. That's good. I just wish (I don't believe in wishing) that they would not allow politicians on this site.

I actually like the fact that the candidates come on here to ask things. Hillary showed that she hasn't changed her true colors and let her moderate image slip. Mccain showed that he still has some good ideas running around in him, and Obama has just asked one of the best questions asked by a candidate. This is stuff you will not get from the ads and the campaign promises, this is them setting themselves out there as people, giving you a glimpse of what it would be really like to have them elected. Is it all political posturing...of course. Will they actually read the hundreds of responses? doubtful (although they will probably have an aide go through them to gleam some ideas to appear in their campaigns). But best is, that is starts a discussion among people with differing viewpoints. Look through the responses they have gotten (ignore the jabs and insults) and you will see that there are some very good ideas from both sides of the political spectrum to make this country better...which is what we all really want anyway.

They get famous people to pose questions to draw people to the site.

Actors, politicians, scientists, whoever.

It's hardly a political platform for them -- I mean the questions are pretty bland.

It's just a way for Yahoo to publicize the site.

How does asking how to get people more engage politically "sirt the pot with inuendoes" or make trouble?

I find it meaningless and silly, but it does get more people clicking here, which is what Yahoo is after.

Sure they should. Maybe their staff even actually reads responses and will learn something.

We have all sorts of wackos on the site. Why not politicians?

I'm not sure you're grasping the concept of advertising. You're in an election and political area, of course they would advertise on there.

Let them. At least some of their dirt will fall off and they would be less troublesome in the real world.

You should add yourself to the radical agenda regime and then go crawl back under the warm rock you came from...
