I just read in the Dispatch this moring that we have built 309new schools, 84 new hopitals and 34 new power plants in Iraq. We can't get one new hospital here in southern Ohio without a fight for funding from the same government that paid for these nice new places in Iraq. Can someone explain this to me???

Its mighty suspicious to be firing off a lot of good attorneys all of a sudden. Doesn't it at least warrant an oath of truthful explanation? We all know Clinton pulled this crap too. Is American government circling the toilet bowl? Theres never been this must activity since WW2. Feels like the whitehouse is raising its very own "Iron Curtain". What do you think? Do all Republicans feel that the administration should not be sworn to truth?

WASHINGTON - Terror detainees once held in the CIA's secret prisons were kept and questioned under highly abusive conditions, the International Committee of the Red Cross says in a confidential report based on interviews with high-value terror suspects.

The Red Cross said the techniques reported by the 14 prisoners, including sleep deprivation and the use of forced standing and other so-called "stress positions," were particularly harsh when used together. The prisoners were transferred from CIA custody to a military prison at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, in September.

When you don't allow your cabinet to take an oath to tell the truth to the country, how does that reflect on you and your cabinet? Clinton was a hairs width from getting impeached. Republicans blasted the Democratic budget for its hefty spending increases and its assumption that the lower taxes on income, married couples, inheritances and investments will expire at the end of 2010 as current law states.

"The best way to balance the budget is to control spending, not raise taxes," said top panel Republican Paul Ryan (news, bio, voting record) of Wisconsin.

How can Republicans never balance a budget and run up an additional 3 1/2 TRILLION dollar deficit and then, when the Democrats are in power say this:

This never seemed to be an issue when you controlled the Congress!
