They have commercials all over the U.S. TV talking about cheap oil for people who don't want to pay big prices . Now I'm all for cheap oil and the free market but this is nothing but propaganda on the part of the Venezuelan government . Do you agree ?

Yes, I agree wholeheartedly. I was extremely disappointed to see Joe Kennedy shilling for them. I wonder how much he was paid for that? If they REALLY care about their image, they'd try to get that idiot Chavez under control.

That's all it is propaganda, the same used by Germany in WWII
and the Soviet Union during the cold war, the sad thing is that there are so many brain dead individuals running around who,
like those in Germany and the Soviet block actually believe it
and refuse to see it for precisely what it is, namely a big steaming pile of BS.

It's time Americans stopped worrying about Chavez. We are his largest purchaser of oil. We purchase close to 60% of his total oil output and refine close to 90% of his total oil output. We also provide and maintain the equipment used to drill for his oil. Chavez is just pissed off because the US controls his country (economically). Chavez only gains power when the price of oil goes up. He's just mad because we won't let him manhandle OPEC. Remember, right now oil trades for about $60.00 a barrel but only has a cost of $20.00. Mr. Chavez can sell oil at a 50% discount and still make 40% profit.

I think its sad that the Venezuelan people sit by as Mr. Chavez loots the country and takes what few rights they have its been demonstrated that absolute power corrupts absolutely I fear it just another disaster in the making. Its very similar to the way Sadam secured his power and all those like him.

I think its pure rubbish, though I haven't seen the ads. The cheap oil is purely a way to buy support from other South American countries.
I've no problem with someone insulting Bush, be they right or wrong.

Chavez Is raping the hard work of 40 years of Industrialization. He is spending the money like a drunken whore, It cannot last forever. They will hang him for sure.
