Do you think the UK government is forcing people to by stuff on the black market? with the high taxes they impose

WE in the UK have the highest taxes in Europe and Can not hold a candle to Holland or Spain ,Spain has the quickest growing economy in Europe at the moment .
an economic professor at derby uni did a paper that stated with the amount of taxes we gave we should all get free TV licences free leisure activity's and free hospital treatment (with out a waiting list) free public transport and still support an armed force free cinema and theatre and fully equipped schools with a full teaching staff.
SO WHAT THE FCUK THEAY DOING WITH MY CASH

Yes, the average wage in Britain does not match the cost of living in this country people are running at a loss all the time, so the only way people can have an acceptable standard of living is to buy from the black market. I personally dont but I understand anyone who does :)

VAT is high but we understand that this level of taxation is necessary for our standard of living. Doing illegal acts is a choice of the individual and a demonstration of his/her ethics and moral code. There can never be a case that if the price is too high we will be forced to be dishonest

No most black market goods are stolen or copies and the tax regime is basically fair. If you wish to give your cash to criminal gangs exploiting cheap labour,or adding to the crime problem. Then i hope you find your own stuff for sale at a car boot sale one day.

Of course they don't force them but as taxes go up there is more and more temptation to do so.
Just learn to live without the most highly taxed items, if you're a slave to your vices or a fashion victim you just have to grin & bare it or shop on street corners.

There are legal ways to beat the tax system but they require effort and most of us can't be bothered sustaining that effort.

yes,and they always have.i buy all my fags from abroad and happy to say, the government does not get one penny.
